2016 Best of Beauty - Skincare

08:00

Here's part two of my 2016 Best of Beauty. Today is all about my skincare favourites, what I have discovered and used continuously throughout the year. To see Part One Click Here.

NIP + FAB Glycolic Fix Range: When it came to choosing my skincare stand outs of the year, there was one skincare range which jumped out at me immediately, and I know I have spoken about these a lot but they're the only ones I continued to use and that is the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Skincare Range. This is a range which is designed to use chemical exfoliating to slough away dead skin cells and reveal radiant and clear complexions. I have got so much use out of this range and have repurchased more times than I can remember. My skin has reacted incredibly well with the Daily Pads and the Mask and it feels so much smoother and my makeup goes on so much nicer and lasts longer. With good skincare, your makeup will look much better and this is a range I can truly say does that for my skin. Plus it's pretty affordable, I like to get mine when it's on sale in Boots or Superdrug for 1/3 off or 3 for 2 as they are quite often in those sales.

THE BODY SHOP Skincare: The Body Shop have been killing it with their new releases and their remakes of cult products, I have to say as a brand they have stood out to me this year, but in particular their new skincare has kicked ass and really made a difference in the texture and overall appearance of my skin. Specifically the Drops of Light Brightening Serum which has been helping with dark spots and scars, the Drops of Youth Youth Concentrate has been amazing at smoothing out my skin - I've said goodbye to any uneven texture - and generally just making it feel softer. Then the Oils of Life Facial Oil has been a godsend to nourish and hydrate my skin. These 3 products I have used everyday since getting them and they have done incredible things for my skin. See Review HERE.
The Body Shop also released 5 new face masks which tackle different skin concerns and also promote multi-masking. My favourites are the Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask as it does everything it says and my skin never feels dry or uncomfortable after using this. even though it is a clay based mask. I also love the Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask, although it feels like putting jam on your face, it really does refresh and revive dull and tired skin. For £15 each and with 5 available their is something to suit everyone's skin and it really is great for a girly night or as a Sunday night pamper sesh.

MUST HAVE SKINCARE ESSENTIALS: I take my skincare routine very seriously, and when I find products that really work for my skin, they are what I use on the daily, or what I come back to if trying something new.
Although this was in last years favourites, I have to say this has been the only cleanser I have used once I have removed my makeup and that is the No7 Melting Gel Cleanser. It's incredibly similar to the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel but it is a lot cheaper and works just as well if not better. Speaking of Oskia, their Renaissance Mask is a new skincare product I discovered in 2016 and it's something I have gone back to numerous times as it does great things for my skin. It gives my skin the most beautiful glow but also helps to revive in refresh tired and dull skin and is another great option for when your skin needs some TLC.

That's it for my 2016 Best of Beauty. I hope you had a great year filled with lot's of memories and lot's of laughter. I would love to know what your favourite products were from the year. Be sure to come back next week to see what my Top 5 Discoveries were of 2016.
