It's time for another Birchbox VS Glossybox and this month I am really impressed with both boxes. But to see the winner, you will have to wait until the end...

This month is about all things astrological, and Birchbox has designed a glow in the dark drawer style box for your star sign. Using the birthday on your beauty profiles they sent the corresponding box that fits your star sign. If they don't have your birthday they send you a surprise design. They're really stepping up their game with these boxes. Plus each box comes with a full size makeup product.

So what's your sign?
Earth: Taurus / Virgo / Capricorn        Air: Gemini / Libra / Aquarius
Fire: Aries / Leo / Sagitarius           Water: Cancer / Scorpio / Pisces

BATISTE Stylist Oomph My Locks XXL Volume Spray £4.29
This is a great size for popping in my handbag and I love this Volumising spray as it really does oomph my locks when used sparingly. They also have a medium size and a super size can of this so check those out if you end up falling in love with this as they're affordable and definitely worth it.

DOUX ME Pure Spring Mist £16
This in all honesty doesn't interest me at all. Water mists aren't my cup of tea as I just prefer something that will do something more for my skin. I guess these could be good for the beach or by the pool (especially because of its size) when it's really hot just to refresh your skin but other than that I don't see any other reason to use it.

RITUALS Hammam Body Mud £14

I've tried a Rituals Body Scrubs before and really liked it. This particular one has Rhassoil Clay and Eucalyptus to purify and refresh the skin. It's a clay consistency so it's also great for drawing out impurities in the skin, you can also use it as a body mask, simply leave on for 5 minutes to absorb and then rinse. This size is great for travelling and it will live in my travel bag for when I go and stay over at my boyfriends.

LORD & BERRY 20100 Maxi Matte Crayon Lipstick in Intimacy £12
Full Size
I've tried these matte lip crayons before and they're very pigmented and great for a matte lip option. This is a neutral darker nude which looks great for an everyday lip, add a gloss over the top of you prefer a glossy lip. It's great to get a precise lip line so using as a liner first will ensure for a neat lip.

NUMBER 4 Fluoro5 Elixer Restore & Repair Oil £18
I've never heard of this brand nevermind try out any of their products, but this one is described as a nourishing elixir that transforms full hair into shiny, sleek strands and I encourage that on my locks as my hair can look quite dull. This is a mini size so will work great for travelling as well. Now that it's getting colder, I want to ensure I keep everything hydrated and nourished and this is a great addition to my hair care routine.

BIRCHBOX Eyebrow Brush £1.99
Brows have really had their moment in the past, but to ensure that your brows are never out of place, here is a brow tool that keeps everything groomed and where it should be.

BIRCHBOX SNEAK PEAK: Birchbox X Tatler  -  Prepare to Shake Your Tail Feather! As we get ready for party season with Tatler.

Plus finishing touches are being added to The Birchbox Christmas Shop so stay tuned.

This month is a collab with the amazing Estee Lalonde who is a beauty and lifestyle blogger and blogger. She's hand picked this months beauty products and also included a mystery sixth product. Estee has a new book that came out on the 4th October called Bloom: Navigating Life and Style (which you can buy HERE) where she shares the moments, people and things that have made her who she is today, revealing her life lessons, and offers tips for surviving life. I haven't yet picked this up but after reading several great reviews I think I will be. Anyway, onto what's in Octobers Glossybox

TRIFLE COSMETICS Lip Parfait Buttery Lip Cream £12.95
This little guy is the cutest little lipstick I've ever seen, I mean seriously how beautiful is that packaging. This is a beautiful pale nude shade which is infused with Vitamin E to keep lips hydrated and plumped and the pigments are silicone-coated so it won't dull or become feathery-looking. It's a creamy matte formula and although the shade is beautiful, and it swatches beautifully, it doesn't look the best on my lips. Normally it would be too pale for me but I still really like it and I just hope if I give my lips a little TLC it would look better. When on the lips it feels great so fingers crossed.

NUXE Shimmering Dry Oil Huile Prodigieuse £34
I was kind of disappointed when I saw this in here as I've received one already in another subscription box as well as the original formula. This is more of a summer product but I guess for a little hint of summer, to give skin a glow and keep everything hydrated it's a good option. It has a beautiful golden shimmer so applying onto legs when at a party will give them a healthy glow and also has a lengthening effect apparently which is very good in my book. Will definitely give it a try with the upcoming events and parties I have.

UNIVERSAL BEAUTY COSMETICS Secret Flush, Soothing Cream Blusher & Lip Stain Duo in Nectar £15
A multi-tasked that should have its player in everyone's makeup bag. This little guy is great to blend onto the apples of the cheeks for a subtle flush but also glide onto the lips for a dash of pink. It's a pretty pink with a touch of shimmer but not too much which makes it perfect for either the cheeks or lips. Definitely one I will be trying out.

BEE GOOD Honey & Camelia Facial Exfoliator £10.50
The one concern I have when it comes to exfoliators is how abrasive they are as my skin is very sensitive to manual exfoliators, but this one is very fine yet quite gritty so it's great for a once a week treatment to brighten and polish decongested and dull skin. With Lavender to gently life and exfoliate dulling dead skin cells without irritating. Wheatgerm Oil soothes and moisturises, while British Propolis helps balance problematic complexions. There is also Honey which we all know to be antibacterial so great for blemish prone skin but also moisturising.

PS...PRO Miracle Pencil £2
Another multi-tasking product now, a 3-in-1 pencil to contour lips and prevent lip colours bleeding, brighten eyes by lining the waterline, and conceal skin imperfections. For only £2 it's a steal and Primark makeup isn't a brand I have tried yet but I will definitely give them a try next time I'm at a store.

Now for the mystery product...
A New Beauty Shampoo
There's no price, no actual brand or name and Estee has big brand reveal on her blog esteelalonde.com later in the month ( the 18th) so check that out too.

NOVEMBER SNEAK PEEK: DE BRUYERE Beaute Jumbo Eye Pencil  -  Dusky Metallic Eye Pencil. I am really looking forward to this.

I have to admit I was gutted to see that there was a travel size Oribe Dry Textursing Spray in some of the other Birchbox boxes which would have definitely tipped it in their favour. I assume it was between the Batiste Volume Spray  and the Oribe but never mind (I may use some of my Birchbox points to purchase it instead). The full size lip crayon from Lord & Berry will be going into my handbag along with the Batiste Volume Spray, and I'm keen to use the Rituals Body Mud and see what that's like. The eyebrow brush isn't my preferred brush, I prefer a spoolie to a comb and brush duo so that will be going to a friend.
But anyway  Glossybox stole the show. Never mind the fact that it was a collab with Estee Lalonde this months Glossybox was hands down my favourite. I am really pleased with the makeup products, the lipstick from Trifle Cosmetics which the super cute packaging, the Lip & Cheek Stain from Universal Beauty Cosmetics and the Primark PS... Pencil I find that all 3 products swatched really well and I am really looking forward to wearing them and finding different ways to use them. The NUXE Shimmering Oil was a tad disappointing as I have received it in a box previously, but I am really looking forward to seeing which brand the Shampoo is from. I love how they have done it, kept it a secret even the packaging and revealing it later on, very innovative Estee.

Anywho, that's it. I hope you liked this months subscription boxes. You can check out this months Look Fantastic Box here and last months Birchbox VS Glossybox here
