Beauty Haul - Part One

08:00

It's beauty haul time. It's been a while since I did a haul on my blog but this is part one of two, as on Friday I have New In Beauty haul which has all the new goodies just released into the beauty world so come back and check that out on Friday. Today however, here's some beauty products I've picked up recently and have been trying out. Separate reviews will be coming up soon and will be linked once uploaded.

It's been a long time but I have been reunited with probably one of the best serums I have ever tried (if not the best) and that is the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. I use this in the evening once I have cleansed and toned, before my moisturiser and just put this into my skin. It leaves my skin feeling plump and hydrated, toned and it also helps with ageing and fine lines etc. It's expensive but definitely worth it. I have my first ever review on this product which was a long time ago, in the beginning of my blog so I will link it here if you want to check it out.

NYX has finally made it's way to my local Boots store and so I had to go along and pick our a few things to try. First off I repurchased the HD Concealer as I love to have this in my collection no matter what. I also got the Micro Brow Pencil in Brunette which you would have seen in my weekly faves for the last couple weeks. I am definitely loving this brow pencil almost as much maybe more than my all time fave Archery Pencil from Soap & Glory. Finally I picked up some of the infamous Butter Glosses...

Eclair  //  Angel Food Cake  //  Creme Brulee

I love all 3 of these shades and although I don't like to go too nude I think there are some other shades in the range which I would really get on with so I definitely want to try out some others. I love the formula, I love how smooth and moisturising they are on the lips without being sticky or gloopy. I really can see what all the fuss has been about.

I've been wanting to try out these Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipsticks for a while but never got round to it and I could never choose the shades I wanted, so this month I went for the 4 that looked most like my kind of colour. I have to say I am quite disappointed with a couple of the shades.

Baci  //  Aria  //  Patina  //  Amore

Baci is a cool muted pink shade which I thought was going to be really pretty but it's actually very grey toned and so it really doesn't suit my fair complexion so I am going to have to find that one a new home. The next two shades Aria and Patina look very nice when swatched and they wear nicely (although I've not tested their full wear time out properly yet) I find they smell very funky but the wand makes it fairly easy to apply them precisely. Amore was the other one I was disappointed in. Now this one has a bit of shimmer whereas the others are completely matte, and when swatched it also looked quite streaky, I couldn't get a block of one colour - whether that's because of the shimmer in there I don't know. I will report back on these, I need a bit more time to play and see what works best for me before I can give you my full review.

The Tanya Burr Cosmetics Eyeshadow Palettes next and I fell in love with these from the moment they arrived on my doorstep. I originally purchased the two newest palettes Enchanted Dream and Birthday Suit but once I swatched them and felt how lovely they shadows were I went straight back onto Feel Unique and ordered the rest for next day delivery and I've used only these ever since. Here's my two current favourites...

Enchanted Dream

Galaxy
As you can see they're both quite cool in tone, more taupes and purpley browns than warmer shadows but they're my favourite. Full review and swatch will be up on my blog soon.

The Urban Decay Naked Skin Weightless Complete Coverage Concealer, now this is possibly the star of the show. I haven't actually tried much from Urban Decay but this has been out for quite a while and I was on the hunt for a new concealer so thought I would give it a shot and I have to say it's one of the best, if not the best concealer I have ever tried. Again a review will be coming up very soon but I have recommended this to everyone that asks me about concealer now, and whether it's for full coverage, light coverage, dark circles or blemishes, this is the perfect all round kind of product. Definitely a game changer.
