The Weekly Round Up #139

This week my contour game has been stepping up, as I've managed to get my mitts on some new goodies that I've been trying out. So this weeks faves is mainly contouring products but there's some others thrown in there too.

So first for the contour I've been using the Zoeva Face Shape Brush to applying the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit, specifically the shade Fawn. I really love this particular one but the formula, everything about this makes it so easy to use and blend and it looks incredible. A great base to build up your contour. I've been going over this with the Powder Contour Kit and the Spectrum Collection Tapered Brush to set it all, using the same Fawn shade. I've not used the highlighting shades much but I shall be diving into those soon and trying out different combos.
Then I go in with the Kevyn Aucoin Medium Sculpting Powder using the Real Techniques Setting Brush to get that extra sharp, precise contour which lasts all day.

As for highlight, I'm still loving SunBurst from the Anastasia That Glow Glow Kit, but I've been mixing it with the Anastasia Illuminator in Starlight which is more of an icy white highlight but it gives a really great finish when used with the other shade.
I've gone back to an old favourite, the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder and applying it with my trusted ELF Small Tapered Brush. This combo is one of the best for setting my under eyes and I was in need of something different as I've not been happy with how my under eyes have been looking. This is one of the best powders for setting concealer as it brightens, sets everything in place and doesn't look dry or cakey on the skin. I am definitely keeping this in my makeup arsenal for a long time.

As you can see I've had a bit of an Anastasia Beverly Hills moment and purchased quite a few things from her. Everything I've tried has blown me away, so much so that I hop back online to see what else I can find. After running out of contour kits to buy, I thought I would move on to the eyeshadows and I have always wanted to try the Self Made Palette out so that is what I picked up. The shades haven't come out true to colour in the photo unfortunately but you get the jist. The shades I have been using the most are Hot Chocolate (bottom right) Pink Champagne and Metallic Plum (top left), along with Treasure, Hot & Cold and Sherbert (bottom row). They're lovely shadows, I love the formula, the pigmentation is great and they last all day on my eyes without creasing which is a rare thing for me to find these days. Love this palette and will definitely be doing a swatch & look with this soon.

Last week you saw the Purity Mask and the Glow Mask from L'Oreal, this week I've been trying out the Detox Mask and I have to say I think it's my favourite one out of the 3. It deep cleanses my skin and leaves it feeling squeaky clean but without the dry and tight feeling that a lot of clay masks can leave behind. It only takes 10 minutes so it's perfect for those busy lifestyles where you don't have half an hour to wait whilst a clay mask does it's thing. What's even better is that these masks can be used all at the same time. So you could put the Detox Mask in your t-zone, the Glow Mask on your cheeks and the Purity Mask on your chin and around your nose. Definitely worth the £5 to pick these guys up. They're great drugstore masks.
