July Faves

July has been a good month, the weather has been beautiful and it's gone by pretty fast. I've got some new faves that I've been trying out and some old ones too which I rediscovered this month, so it's time for my July Favourites.

HAIR: Thought I would start with hair stuff first, and I gave myself a bit of a hair cut and took quite a bit off so I am loving my shorter do. Which has called forr some new styling products, of course. Up first is the Got2be Mind Blowing Blow Dry Styling Spray which is an all in one. It protects hair from heat, speeds up blow drying time, conditions and tames frizz, and also adds volume and texture to your tresses without weighing down your hair. One product, that's all it takes and I have to say I love it. To go along with that though I do like to use a serum or cream to smooth everything down as I tend to get super frizzy hair and I need all the help I can get in that area. I discovered the brand Fudge Urban at the beginning of the month and their Miracle Ends Frizz Smoother has been a life saver, especially as it's been super hot and humid here in the UK this has made it much better. But I wanted to try out the Fudge Urban Crisp Pear & Sweet Vanilla Dry Shampoo as I've heard a few beauty bloggers talk about it. It smells delish, but it also does a great job at instantly refreshing hair to absorb oil and add some texture and volume to any lifeless hair. Definitely a great trio of products and the only ones I have needed in my routine.

SKINCARE: Oskia is a luxurious skincare brand and I've only had the chance to try out a couple of their products, both being cleansers, but after reading numerous rave reviews, I finally picked up the Oskia Renaissance Mask. This mask is great for clearing out the skin using the Fruit Acids, but it also brightens and tones the skin. It's been the only mask I have used pretty much all month, twice a week without fail, and my skin has been feeling amazing. Smooth and with a healthy fresh glow which is what I was hoping to get from it. It's definitely one I would recommend putting on your wishlist as it's a fantastic all round crowd pleaser and worth your pennies.

BRUSHES: This month I discovered the Zoeva Rose Golden Brushes including 3 face brushes and a set of eye brushes. I also have been using and loving the Spectrum Collection Eye Brush Set. Both sets are't necessary but I wanted to try out some different eye brushes and these caught my eye. So first my favourites from Zoeva. The 102 Silk Finish Brush has been my go to foundation brush this month. The 105 Luxe Highlight has been perfect for applying my highlighter (which I will come back to in a minute), and the 110 Face Shape Brush has been my contour brush of the month. Then the 12 Piece Eye Set, the 142 Concealer Buffer has been what I have applied my concealer with. The 227 Luxe Soft Definer is Zoeva's answer to the MAC 217. The 228 Luxe Crease and 231 Luxe Petite Crease have accompanied the 227 in my blending requirements for my eyeshadow application.
As for the Spectrum Collection Brushes, the A08 Medium Blender, A12 Fluffy Pencil and the B06 Tall Tapered have been the ones that have stood out the most and that I have found particularly helpful in my daily brush edit. Great quality, great prices, great brushes, from both brands. I highly recommend them.

MAKEUP: I've really been getting into contouring over the last year or so, but recently I've been trying out different products and brushes and I have found a few this month that have definitely stood out. You should all know my love for the Zoeva Rose Golden Palette by now because the contour powder is great for fair skin, contouring newbies. It's easy to blend out and you have to build it up which means if you want a natural contour or are just getting the hang of application then this is definitely a great option. If you're looking for a more budget friendly offering, then the Makeup Revolution Ultra Contour Palettes are one for your shopping baskets. I have both the cream formula and the powder and I bet you can't tell which shade is my favourite? It has great pigmentation for a more affordable product but it sticks around all day, especially when set with it's counterpart powder. These are the only shades I use out of the palettes and I wish they came in individual pans so I could put them in my own palette or whatever, so I am waiting for MR to get on that.
As for the brush I have been using, I come back to the Zoeva Rose Golden Face Shape Brush. It's a small round brush which fits into the contours of the face perfectly. I use this to sculpt my cheekbones, forehead, neck and also around my nose and chin as it gets into all the places I need it to. If you haven't found "the one" when it comes to contour brushes, then I highly recommend you picking this little guy up, trust me, you won't regret it.

I've switched up my daily concealer combo. I've been using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for a few months now, but I thought I would go back to an old fave, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer and the Estee Lauder BB Brush On Glow Highlighting Concealer. These have done just what I needed to brighten and conceal my under eyes and the high points of my face. This is a combo that covers all day, no budging, no creasing and no signs of the lack of sleep I had the night before. Bonus!
TheBalm Frat Boy Blush has been a favourite of mine for months and it got lost there for a while in my drawer, but it somehow made it's way back in to my makeup bag and I have been using it on the daily. This is the perfect all year round kind of blush, it goes great with my complexion and the rest of my makeup, it just ties everything together and if there was one blush on this earth I would repurchase it would be this one.
Going back to highlight, and you may have seen my review of the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits. These have been all over the bloggersphere and when I finally got my hands on them I was hooked. My favourite is the That Glow Kit particularly the shades Sunburst and Bubbly, especially if I mix them together and apply them using the Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight Brush. It's definitely a combo I want to have in my everyday makeup bag for a while.

That's it for this months favourites. If you want to see more of what I have been loving then check out this months Weekly Round Up's, and head over to my Instagram for daily updates on posts and cute photos of my Puppy Darcy and my Nephew.
