⭐️The Weekly Round Up #137⭐️

Happy Sunday Friends. I hope you're having an awesome weekend so far, I sure am. It's been glorious weather in the UK this week and I hope it continues as Summer is a beautiful time of year.

Before I get into my faves from the week, I wanted to share some good-ish news with you. For some of you who have followed me since the start, I have mentioned a couple times about my effed up hip, that it causes me a lot of pain and has prevented me from doing certain things and for the last 6 years no one has been able to tell me what causes it. But this week I got my results from the CT Scan and MRI I had done last month and it turns out that I have a tear in the cartilage between the joint and also a bit of extra bone on the joint which shouldn't be there - it's technically called Femoroacetabular Impingement (FAI). So in about 3-4 months I will be having surgery, a Hip Arthroscopy to have these issues dealt with. Now it's not 100% guaranteed that this will help my pain, I still have Fibromyalgia (FMS) so I still have that to deal with but I have everything crossed that the source of my hip pain has been discovered and will be reduced even if it's a little bit. Not that I'm getting my hopes up or anything. There's a lot of things online about these conditions and surgery so I have linked one site but there are more if you feel you have any issues similar to mine or would like to know more about what I will have done etc.

Anyway, onto the faves...

This week I've gone back to a few old faves just to switch up my routine and I have to say I am loving them all over again.
First the Maybelline Age Rewind Brightening Concealer to correct and brighten the under eyes and then the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to conceal. My current concealer combo just hasn't been cutting it but this is an incredible combo and I am totally obsessed with the NARS Concealer all over again.
For base, with the hot weather it's longevity yet lightweight combo that I want to go for, so the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation are a match made in heaven. The Sheer Glow is fair enough for my skin, gives great coverage, a beautiful glow and looks great on the skin, so whatever it goes with it looks great. But with the Beyond Perfecting, coverage is amped up and because of the darker shade it makes matching my skin according to my tan easy as pie. It's a foundation and concealer in one and it covers everything and longevity wise, it's a day long foundation.
I've been into my glowy skin this week, yes I know that's nothing different but this week I've been concentrating on a good highlight, in specific places so that I don't look greasy in this delightful heat wave that has graced the planet this week. So anyway, the Charlotte Tilbury Highlight from the Bronze & Glow Palette has been my number one. It's always my number one but this week in particular its been rocking my boat. To apply this beautiful highlight, the Zoeva 105 Luxe Highlight Brush is my jam right now. This applies the perfect amount, blends it out so its not a harsh line and I just prefer how it looks with this brush.

You all know my love for the Zoeva Rose Golden Contour Powder, so to go with it I've dug out the TheBalm Frat Boy Blush which looks great with a tan (what little of it I have) and it's the perfect shade for summer.

When I self tan, I get a confidence like nothing else, it makes me want to show my legs and arms off which is completely different than when I am pasty white and no fake tan applied. I have been using the Vita Liberata Rapide Tan for a while now and I really do think it's incredible and wanted to include it in this weeks faves. Plus, no matter how bad it looks when first applied, it's the most beautiful natural tan which even with my fair skin looks amazing. It also layers really well and continues to look incredible even when fading.
With the hot weather, my SPF has been topped up on the regular, and I recently received the Hawaiian Tropic Island Berry Lip Gloss which has SPF25 so it's great for protecting my lips from the sun, please it smells and tastes great so reapplying is as much for protecting my skin as it is just because I like the smell and how it feels on my lips. Definitely one to keep in your beach or travel bag, mine stays in my handbag so it's ready for whenever I leave the house.
For nails I have been going for the Barry M Mani Mask in Birthday Suit which is a nude nail care product which I just apply a couple layers to my nails, add my Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat and it stays on for a few days but also nourishes and cares for my nails.

The Anastasia Glow Kits have been all the rage recently and I finally received the first two kits that were launched (there's now 2 or 3 others) Gleam is the Silver on which has more pink shades in it although some look more like blushes than they do highlights. I also have That Glow which is the more golden tone. The darkest one broke in transit but I wouldn't use that anyway unless for a bronzer topper. The other shades however look beautiful on the skin, I've been particularly loving the bottom left corner one, boy does it pack a punch in the glow department. I am looking forward to trying some of their other kits along with their contour kits too, they're next on my list. I will do a review/swatches on these soon.
