The Weekly Round Up #126

I can't believe it's May already. My birthday is tomorrow (Sunday 8th) and I am going to be 24 which means I am really getting old and it's very depressing. But I get to spend time with my lovely nephew and my family so it's all good. But anyway, here's some stuff I have been loving this week...

SKINCARE: As far as skincare goes, there's a couple things that I have been using this week that have really kicked ass. For the face the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Scrub has been doing a cracking job at ensuring my skin is nice and smooth with no flakey bits or dead skin cells which means my makeup can go on a lot smoother, look better and last longer. I love using this after a workout to ensure I get any sweat or oils off my skin which can lead to clogged pores and breakouts.
For the body, I had a little tub of the Soap & Glory Flake Away Body Scrub which is a great scrub for getting rid of self tanner or preparing for applying self tanner. Which brings me on to my last skin product, the St Tropez Tinted Gradual Tanner, with the weather as surprisingly good as it has been this week, I thought it was time to build up a bit of a tan and I got this free with Junes edition of Marie Clarie and so I thought I would give it a go. It's quite thick if you use it alone so I mixed it in with some of my regular body lotion and it worked a treat. My skin looked slightly more tanned the following day and I've used it every other day this week and it looks pretty good. I will be getting a bottle of the St Tropez Express Tan on my next excursion to Boots, but for now I am really liking this and think it's a great way for us fair skin gals to get on the self tan train without looking like we've been tango'd.

MAKEUP: It's been a good week for winged liner and lip products for me as I have just been obsessed with the L'Oreal Perfect Slim Eyeliner. If you are a liner noob then this is the one I would recommend you busting out because it works like a charm. I can apply my liner with a wing everyday in less than 30 seconds and it looks perfect every time. There's something about the tip of this and the way it moves that just makes it super easy for me. Definitely one to try if you are in the market for a new liner.
As for the lip products I have been obsessed with, the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks have been my jam this week. I specifically love the shades from the Pinks Collection, Pink Up, Girl (satin) and Pommie Girl (matte). I apply a light layer and then top them with the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfectors which I also like to wear on their own for a quick and easy solution. The shade 07 goes perfect with Pink Up Girl and shade 08 is practically identical to Pommie Girl and so the looks they give are beautiful.

HAIR: It's not often that I have hair favourites to be honest, especially recently as I have been leaving my hair straight and throwing some dry shampoo in it. But my hair is dry and damaged and is in need of some TLC every now and then so the Aussie 3 Miracle Oil has been filling that void. It's hydrating, smells incredible and makes my hair feel softer and smoother. I don't like to go OTT on the Aussie products as when used a lot the scent can be too much for me but I love this oil as it's also designed to be used as a treatment for damaged hair so it's the perfect product for what my hair needs.

TV: You are probably sick of hearing me talk about InuYasha but I have now finished it and it was a a very sad moment when I watched the last episode, and I didn't think I could find another show that I liked as much, but then I gave Naruto another chance and it saved the day. This is about Ninja who are in training and discovering their true potential as a kick ass ninja. Plus it's hilarious. Definitely one to watch as it's a very well known and loved anime, don't just take my word for it.

SNEAK PEEK: I've not included a sneak peek in a while, so I thought I would give you a head's up on some products I will be trying out this week and reviewing for you. I discovered Grounded Coffee Scrub on a spur of the moment peruse of Boots and when I checked out their website I found they had more than body scrubs. I'm sure you've seen and hear a lot of coffee scrubs that are around nowadays, Frank I think it a popular one as well as one from NKD, but I really like that they have body scrubs and face scrubs along with a hair mask and lip balms, and they come with different scents and ingredients in to add some extra zest into the mix. So I will be trying these out, snapping some photos and then I will tell you my thoughts next week sometime. So be sure to follow me on Instagram and Twitter for when I upload.
