The Weekly Round Up #121

08:00

Today is my weekly round up, I'm sure you all know what this is by now but it's my weekly favourites to show you all the products and some random bits that I have been loving from the last 7 days.

MAKEUP: As you would have seen this week, I uploaded my review of the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealers & Correctors which you guys seemed to really love as it's the most viewed post of the week and I am truly obsessed with these products. They have 4 shades, one for redness, one for blurring imperfections, one for dull-ness and one for dark circles - check out the review for the full deets here - but I love them all. I've been using them every single day since I got them, even if I'm not wearing any other makeup, they even out and perfect my skin without the need for foundation or anything and I just love these.
I repurchased the One Heck Of A Blot Powder from Soap & Glory and they've changed the packaging slightly but the product is still as amazing. Once I have applied my colour correcting sticks, I dust over a little bit of powder with the Spectrum Brush and this sets everything in place so that if I am applying makeup over the top, it stops it from moving. It's also great for setting concealer under the eyes and taking away any shine. Favourite powder EVER!
I also have been trying the Soap & Glory Archery Volu-Boost Brow Fibre Gel and the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Almighty Power-Glide Crayon which have been the only brow products I've used this week. The crayon seems like it would be difficult to use but actually I find it works really well with an angled brush and a spoolie to brush everything through and I really love how my brows look with it. The brow gel has fibres in it so it adds texture and thickness but still keeps everything looking natural and brow like.

I have been trying out the new NARS Velvet Matte Skin Tint this week and yes, a review is in the works and will be coming to you very soon. But I had to give this a try considering that the NARS base products haven't failed me so far. I have really enjoyed using this. It has the coverage of a foundation but is as light as a BB Cream or tinted moisturiser. Plus, it lasts all day and still looks as good as when you put it on. I am in love with this and urge you, if you can, to give it a try.

This week I received a few new products that I couldn't wait to try out and they just had to be in this weeks favourites as the products are incredible.
First up is the Zoeva Rose Golden Blush Palette which has a contour called Heavy Crown, a highlighter which is Glowing Still and a blush called Palace Door. I have been loving the contour and highlight the most, they are great powders. The contour isn't that pigmented which means you can build up the intensity depending on how you want it to look which I actually really like about it. The highlight, oh the highlight is just stunning. I use it on a slightly damp fan brush and it just looks stunning. It's very white and blah in the pan but on the cheekbones, it's beautiful and has a gold iridescence to it.
The Cool Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette has been my most used eye palette this week. Specifically the shades CL010, CL040, CL130 CL110 CL140. I love 1./CL130 and 2./CL140 as a base, 3./CL110 all over the lid and 4./CL010 and 5./CL140 in the crease. Also from the Zoeva Spectrum Range is the Nude Spectrum Blush Palette which has 4 nude/peachy shades which normally isn't my thing but the bottom right hand corner shade 6./ND040 has been my jam this week. Especially with the contour and highlight shades mentioned above.
I haven't delved into the Warm Spectrum Eyeshadow Palette much this week but I plan on trying out some warmer looks so watch this space for a warm eye look. If you want to see another for these newest palettes that I have then please let me know.

YOUTUBE: This week I binge watched a tonne of videos from Shonagh Scott, who is a UK based makeup artist. I have been watching her videos for ages, but I specifically watched her most recent makeup tutorials as I think they are just incredible and she always looks so beautiful. Highly recommend checking out her channel if you haven't already. (Photos taken from Shonagh's Instagram)

A video I really enjoyed was from Teni Panosian and it was her Makeup Collection. Her voice is very soothing and I just enjoy watching her videos and I love her storage system for her makeup so I was very intrigued. If you like makeup collection videos, you will love this one. MOVIES/TV: My boyfriend and I went to see Superman VS Batman and there had been some mixed reviews but we always make the effort of seeing these movies at the cinema and although the first half wasn't particularly gripping, the second half was incredible and I really did enjoy it. If you haven't already, you should check this out, but warning, stick around even through the boring bit at the beginning, it's worth it for the fight scenes and ass kicking.
I have been off this week which means I've had plenty of time to watch some movies and I ended up watching The 5th Wave which was a good movie, nothing mind blowing but it was good. Also I watched The Intruders which was another slow starter but the last half hour or so really made up for it.
We also started watching a show called Second Chance which I'm not sure is new but so far we have really been loving it. It's about a 70+ disgraced police sheriff who dies, but then it brought back to life to help a rich tech-geek twin and save his sister from cancer. It's a great show, I highly recommend watching it, even after 4 episodes, I am hooked.

My March Favourites went up this week also so if you want to check out the other products I have loved for the last month then you can see that here. To see the products I have loved enough to repurchase, check out my sixth instalment to my Repurchased Products here.

That's it for today's post. I've had a great week off and loved trying a lot of products and have a lot of content coming up over the next month so be sure to follow me on social media for regular updates on my posts, and follow my blog to be instantly notified when I upload.
