New In Beauty: April

You guys seem to really like these New In Beauty posts so I thought I would do an April installment and include lot's of swatches and whatnot so you can see the new products that have been released at the drugstore. Enjoy...

Maybelline can be quite hit and miss for me, but I went out on a limb and picked up a few of their new lauches for Spring/Summer 2016. First is the Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation in 115, now this has been out in the US for quite a while but it's only just launched here and I know for a fact the shades for Maybellie foundations are way too dark for my fair skin even though this is the fairest shade, this is o exception so I will be trying out different ways to make this foundation work ad get back to you.
A product that has just been released this month I believe is the Face Studio Bricks Bronzer in 01 Blondes, and basically this is a brozer with a shimmer brick type thing on the other side. The bronzer is very orangey so I didn't know how this would work with my fair skin and although it's not bad, it's not my favourite bronzer. As for the highlight, well I like to use the lightest shade but they are all quite dark highlighting shades so mixed together it makes a very pretty, not glittery peachy pink sheen across the cheeks which will look beautiful in the Spring.Summer

Another product released a while ago in the States is the Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid Lipsticks and I have the shades Nude Thrill, Nude Flush & Berry Boost. These feel very similar in texture to the Bourjois Rouge Editions so I am sure I will like them. I am hesitant as I have heard a lot of people say they're super drying so we shall see.

I have been waiting for the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation to come out for what feels like forever, it's actually called the True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation in the states and Canada I believe. I didn't really know what to expect from this but I wanted to give it a try as I've never used this kind of product before. I will be doing a separate review/demo on this so I don't want to talk too much about it, but it's supposed to be a Dewey Glow Foundation and it has SPF 29 which is great for the Spring and Summer to protect your skin from sun damage so I will be giving this a try and getting back to you o my thoughts.

I found the L'Oreal Glam Bronze Cushion De Soleil Fresh Glow Bronzer in the Whats New section on Boots.com and I was really intrigued as I hadn't seen anyone mention this and hadn't seen it before so I picked it up too to see what it was like. Again, I will be including my thoughts on this in my review of the above product but I wasn't 100% sure on this as it looks very orange but if blended well, it can look really natural and like you have a sunkissed glow. But I'll play around with it a bit more and get a proper opinion on it.
As there was a 3 for 2 deal on with L#Oreal products I decided to pick up the L'Oreal Glam Bronze La Terra Healthy Glow in 02 Medium Speranza which is also new to Boots.com and I haven't seen this anywhere else before. It has a bronzer shade as two segments as well as the centre square but then there is a bright pink blush shade and a more peachy apricot segment also. They are super pigmented, really nice and smooth to swatch so I will definitely see what I think to this on my cheeks and take it from there.

I wasn't going to include this in here but I thought I would as it's something I purchased at the beginning of the month but never really showed you it. But this is the Rimmel Kate Sculpting Palette in #002 which is the lightest shade. As you can see this has a blush, a bronzer/contour and a highlight shade. A lot of the drugstore brands are bringing out these trio palettes with cheek products in that all compliment each other and that would suit a lot of different skin tones. The shades are very versatile and I really like the packaging and the fact it's compact yet has a decent amount of product in. I find the powders are slightly chalky and the pigment isn't all that impressive, however it does mean  you can build up the colour to your liking. So this is a maybe, it's not mind blowing but it's a great starter product for someone who is just getting into makeup and highlighter and such.

I have tried the Clarins Instant Lip Natural Lip Perfectors before but they recently came out with two new shades which I picked up and fell in love with them all over again. The shades are 07 which is a mauve pink and 08 which is a deeper berry pink kind of shade. They're great just to throw on your lips whilst running out the door and they keep my lips moisturising and soft for ages. Plus, how beautiful are these shades? These are pretty pricey at £18 each for what is essentially a lip balm/gloss hybrid but they're still great products and are very popular among beauty lovers, and newbies alike.

I am a massive fan of Soap & Glory makeup and skincare in general, and I really love their current Sexy Mother Pucker Lipstick and Gloss Sticks range. But they brought out a new Sexy Mother Pucker Lipsticks line: Nudes Collection, Pinks Collection and Reds Collection, which looked too good to miss. So I picked up a couple shades, one in a matte finish and one in a satin - I believe they had two matte and two satin - from the Nudes, the Pinks and the Reds so I love how they have given two different formulas already and we haven't even tried the lip colours yet.  These are only £9 each and currently on offer for buy one get one half price which is definitely an offer you should utilise and take full advantage off if you want to get your hands on these amazing lipsticks.

Isn't the packaging beautiful. So sleek and snazzy yet very eye pleasing, hence why I couldn't miss them or forget about them in the store. As for the formula, they're so creamy and pigmented, even the matte ones and they have the traditional S&G Vanilla scent which I love.

Nudes Collection in Super Nude (Matte) & Naked Talent (Satin)

Pinks Collection in Pommie Girl (Matte) & Pink Up Girl (Satin)

Reds Collection in Rougenie (Matte) & Wine Nott (Satin)

These are great lipsticks and I can't wait to see what else Soap & Glory have in their pipeline that they're just itching to release, they've been kicking ass recently and I will forever be a loyal customer of theirs.

I plan on doing first impressions or reviews on the matte foundation and the cushion foundation and bronzer so I haven't swatched those in this post. I'm sticking to the lip products and the the cheek products for swatching.

I hope you enjoyed today's New In Beauty for April. Let me know if you have any other new products that I've missed that you can recommend as I always like trying out your recommendations,
