The Weekly Round Up #118

This weeks round up has quite a lot of the same products as last week, however I have some YouTube faves, movie & TV show faves as well so stick around to the end to find out more.

I know I included most of these in last weeks faves but I really have been loving them and I want these round ups to be 100% authentic and honest. So this has been my base routine for the last two weeks now and I am loving it. So there's the Soap & Glory Kick Ass Blurring Concealer which is great for blurring out those imperfections and smoothing out the skin, including my pores that are the bane of my existence. Then the Becca Backlight Priming Filter which is just heavenly and I love how this gives my skin that lit-from-within glow that I always crave with my complexion.
Now for the foundation, I have only used the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and I have the shade 0.5 Breeze which is the lightest shade but still doesn't match me, but you can read more about that in my review that I uploaded this week on this amazing foundation here. For concealer, I have been obsessed with the Estee Lauder Brush on Glow BB Concealer in Extra Light as this really brightens up the under eyes and it does a really great job at concealing my dark circles, which are another bane of my existence. For blemishes or discolouration, I have been trying out the Revlon Colourstay Concealer in Fair which is super high coverage and really kicks ass at covering spots and scars. I love this stuff and definitely think it's worth trying out if you haven't found your perfect drugstore concealer yet.
Finally, to the part of my routine that is possibly my favourite. The highlighter. I have been obsessed with the GOSH Lumi Drops in Vanilla and I apply these on the tops of my cheekbones with my finger and just bop my Beauty Blender over the top to blend it in seamlessly. Then will still kind of tacky, I go in with the Laura Mercier Baked Radiance Matte Powder in Highlight 01 (or something along those lines) right over the top with the Spectrum Tapered Powder Brush to finish my highlight and to make sure it really kicks a punch in the glow department, I spray my Beauty Blender with some setting spray (my fave is the L'Oreal Infalliable) and then bop it over the highlight once more. I love how this looks, it intensifies the highlight without making it look un-natural, and boy does that highlight glow.

I have been loving the Freedom Brow Powder Duo In Medium Brown again this week. There's just something about what it does to my brows that makes me grab for it every morning. I thought I lost it earlier in the week and I went crazy looking for it and then realised it was at the bottom of my new makeup bag. I love the Real Techniques Angled Brush to apply it as it's the perfect size and stiff-ness to really get a great application.
The Zoeva Cocoa Blends Palette has been my favourite this week too. I have been loving the shades Bitter Start all over the lid up to the brow bone, then Sweeter End on the inner half of the eye, and Subtle Blend on the outer and lower lash line, and finishing with Beans Are White on the very outer corner and lower lash line. I love how this combination of shadows and colours works and the texture is top notch as always from Zoeva.

You may have seen these in my makeup look on Wednesday that I uploaded. I am in love with these Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colours as they are super long-lasting, pigmented and feel really comfortable on the lips, not matte and drying at all. I am really impressed with these and definitely want to pick up some more shades.

Yes they look quite similar but they really are amazing when on the lips and I don't wear bright lip colours all that often, but any chance I get I put these on. That's how much I love them, and I'm afraid to say I think I love them more than the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvets but don't hold me to that just yet.

As for my only skincare product in this weeks faves, the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix Overnight Purifying Gel has been a massive help in fading scars and reducing blemishes overnight. I still stick to my previous comment in that it almost balls up when you apply it, so I just pat it with my finger and just leave it, the more blending in you do the more it balls up on your face and well, that just defeats the object of putting a spot treatment on if it's not going to stay.

Towards the end of the week I finally re-discovered Fairy Tail. I couldn't remember which episode I finished on and a scan on my laptop removed my history, so I had to search through hundreds of episodes to figure out which one I was on and I am so glad I spent the good couple of hours finding it because I've missed that cute little blue flying cat, and the Dragon slayers. You should definitely watch it if you haven't already, the first few episodes are on Netflix so there's no excuse not to give it a watch.

I went to see London Has Fallen last night (Saturday) which is the sequel to Olympus Has Fallen and this was an incredible movie. I love Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart in both movies, their relationship, how the characters grow together, the snide comments they make to each other really makes me love the movie even more. I highly recommend going to see this, and similar to Olympus Has Fallen, this is an intense, full on action movie from start to finish.

Wow, I really watched a lot this week, and considering I did a lot of overtime at work I am surprised I had time to watch so much, but Ben watched Pride & Prejudice & Zombies yesterday also, which is such a great twist on the original novel and movie, but I really like how they have changed this to be a rom-com, comedy and zombie movie in one. It's a great one for any zombie movie fanatics like myself out there.

I also watched another movie called Man Up which stars the hilarious Simon Pegg and Lake Bell and it was a rom-com which isn't my kind of movie but it was hilarious and had me hooked and it was an easy movie to watch. I really liked it and I think it's definitely worth giving it a watch.

I also found a new YouTube channel to watch, well actually a few new channels to watch. Anyone who is a regular watcher of YouTube may know a character called Miranda Sings, now, I hate the character, I can't stand her, she's annoying and just irritates me, but the person behind that bright red lipstick and those crazy jumpers, is Coleen Evans i.e. Psycho Soprano, who is a really funny, lovely, beautiful person who shares her day to day life via vlogging along with her husband, Josh i.e. JoshuadTV who also has a channel. In fact, Coleen and Josh have siblings and family members who also have YouTube channels so there's a lot of videos to watch. But I just really liked watching mainly Coleen and Josh's videos as they were just fun to watch, made me laugh, made me go "awwwhhhhh" and they're just two very nice, genuine people that are internet famous. So if you haven't checked them out (I'm sure you will have done as they have millions of subscribers" then you can see their channels here.

Another long round up this week. I hope you had a great week. If you are as excited for Spring to finally come back round as I am then I would love to hear what products that will be in your makeup bag for Spring 2016. There will be another chance to choose what post you see first over on my Instagram next week so be sure to follow me so you don't miss out.
