Go to Makeup Look: March

Today is the makeup look I have been wearing a lot recently. I wanted to follow up the foundation review from Monday with a run down of the products I use with it to get my perfect base. I also threw in two lip options because they're both such beautiful shades and an easy eye look which pairs perfectly with a bold lip. I hope you enjoy.

Starting off, I am going for a glowing, flawless complexion and these products are all I've been using recently to achieve that.
First I use the Becca Backlight Priming Filter all over my skin to get that glow going. Then, I use the Soap & Glory Super Blur Imperfections Eraser Stick and sweep that across my forehead, under my eyes, around my nose and on my cheeks and chin, then I blend this in with my fingers. In case you haven't tried these new products from Soap & Glory they are incredible. I love this one for just smoothing out my skin, it's so easy to use and it makes my makeup glide on and look flawless.
Then it's time to cover up the imperfections on my skin and so I have been loving the Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation mixed with a few drops of the The Body Shop Lightening Drops to get my perfect shade. If you haven't seen my review on this foundation then you can see that here. I use the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush and the Beauty Blender to apply this.
For the first layer of glow, I bounce some of the GOSH Lumi Drops in the shade Vanilla onto my cheekbones, and up onto my temples and above my brows. I love how this looks, it's the perfect highlight for my skin tone and it just looks stunning. But we will be coming back to the highlighter a bit later on.

On to brows now and I have been obsessed with this Freedom Brow Powder Duo in Medium Brown to define and fill in my brows. I love the shade and neutral to cool tone of this duo as it really matches with my skin and my hair colour and I just love how soft and natural it makes my brows look without much effort at all. I use the Real Techniques Angled Liner Brush to fill in my brows, and the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil is great for sharpening up the bottom part and the tail of my brow and then I use the spoolie on the other end to brush them through and make sure they're looking natural and soft. I like to use either the Model Co Brow Gel or the Soap & Glory Clear Gel that comes in the Angled Pencil & Brow Gel Duo

For the eyes, I have kept them pretty simple and soft by using a brown liner (with some black mixed in) to create a smudgey, soft winged liner, and then some of the brown liner smudged along my lower lash line and water line. The liners I am currently loving is the Soap & Glory Smoulder Eyes Waterproof in Black and Brown and I love that these are soft and can be smudged out but also have a great staying power to them too when they have set.
Then I just add a tonne of mascara to my top and bottom lashes and the They're Real Tinted Primer Mascara from Benefit goes great as a base for the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, not that it needs anything else but it's a great combo and my lashes always stay curled with these mascaras.

For the cheeks, I have been in a bit of a rutt with my cheeks as I love these products so much and the look they give is just perfect for me. So I start by using the Maybelline Master Sculpt in Medium/Dark to contour my cheekbones, forehead and on my nose a little, and then I go in with the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow to add an extra bronzey-ness to my complexion as I am whiter than a ghost right now thanks to the lack of sun. Finally, to get that glow really looking good I dust over (quite a lot) of the Laura Mercier Baked Matte Radiance Powder in Highlight 01 over where I put the liquid highlighter from GOSH earlier. This intensifies it, keeps it in place all day and gives a beautiful glow to the face.

So that's the base, eyes, brows and cheeks done, it's time for the star of the show, the lips. As you can see from this photo, I don't have any lip product on except lip balm, but this would be great with a nude lip colour on, or mauve, for an everyday, wearable look if you aren't a fan of bold lips. In fact, the Maybelline Color Drama in Minimalist is my go to and looks great with this look.

I'm not the best lipstick putter-on-er but the wand on these make it so easy to get right around the lip line with minimum mess and maximum impact. I love how vibrant and bright these shades are, without being too crazy. They're very similar shades,

Addiction is the berry tone, my favourite shade to wear on my lips ever.

Passion is more red but still very wearable if you find red quite daunting. The application on this one is by no means perfect but I still love how it looks and TIP TIME: if you make a tiny mistake like on your lip line or on your cupids bow, grab your concealer brush and just sweep it away. This gives a much sharper look without anyone knowing it was by accident and that you messed up.

I love how this makeup looks, it's a simple look, with a subtle smudgy winged liner, contoured skin, glowy complexion and bold lips. I will for sure be showing you my favourite look using the Maxfactor Masterpiece Eyeshadow Palettes so keep your eyes peeled for those as I will be showing you an everyday, wearable look using olive green and gold shadows.

Let me know if you have any shade recommendations for these Revlon Ultra HD Matte  Lip Colours because I want to pick up some others, and what's your favourite products/makeup look at the minute?
