Beauty Haul March

Happy Friday! Today's post is all about some other new things I purchased from the drugstore which weren't released this month. If you missed Wednesday's video where I show you some new beauty products for March then you can check that out here

I went to the Clinique  counter to pick up their new foundation (which is in my New In Beauty post) and I also ended up picking up the Pop Lip Colour + Primer in Plum Pop. I have been seeing these lipsticks everywhere and so I thought I would pick it up and I love the formula as it doesn't feel drying, it's very smoothing and comfortable on the lips, the packaging is minimal but very pretty and for £16 it's a great lipstick. I will be checking out some other colours because I really love this one.

Whilst in the highend makeup section, I stopped at the Estee Lauder counter to pick up the Double Wear Brush-On-Glow BB Highlighter in 1N Extra Light. I have been on the hunt for a concealer that will cover my dark circles and brighten and this has incredible coverage. I use a corrector underneath but I love how this looks on the skin. This pretty much hides my dark circles which are a pain in the arse to cover so I am super impressed with this. It's light weight, it doesn't crease and the extra light shade is perfect for my skin tone. Love it. It's £23.50 which is quite expensive for a highlighting type concealer but it works and I don't use much so hopefully it will last a while.

Moving onto the drugstore makeup now, I haven't really tried much from GOSH but I saw they had these Lumi Drops which I really wanted to try out, there's 3 shades, and I picked up Vanilla - also have Bronze, Peach (£7.99) - I expected it to be a more liquid-y formula but it's more like a cream and the Vanilla shade is such a pretty shade for my skin tone, it's a nice neutral vanilla tone and I apply some to the back of my hand and use my beauty blender (or a traditional paddle style foundation brush) to apply to the cheekbones and anywhere else I want to highlight. Can set with powder highlight to intensify (see post here). I love how this looks, the shade is beautiful, the finish is amazing and the glow it gives is just incredible.
Lip oils have been everywhere so when I saw that GOSH had Lip Oils I decided to pick one up. I have the shade Raspberry but there are 3 other shades including a clear one. It's applied using a doe foot applicator, and I really like how they feel and have a slight tint.
I'm not sure if my lips are just super dry this week or if this is dehydrating them even more as they hurt whenever I don't have any product on. I will keep an eye out for that but has anyone else tried these, or another lip oil and had the same issue? It's such a pity because they're so nice feeling on the lips and I like how I can just throw this on whenever - but I will keep you updated on that.

On my concealer hunt I wanted some full coverage concealers, so I picked up Revlon ColorStay Concealer in Fair and the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer also in Fair, and these are pretty much the same thing. The shades are the same, the texture and finish, they're full coverage and thy work really well for under the eyes and on blemishes or anything.

For the eyes I picked up another one of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara, which I haven't used in ages but I forgot how amazing it was and how much I loved it.
I also wanted to try out a brow powder duo to see what it would look like in my brows as I'm not keen on how my brows have been looking recently. So I picked up the Freedom Powder Duo in Medium Brown as a little try out to see if it was worth getting a more expensive one and I have to say I really like this. It makes my brows look softer but still defined which was exactly what I wanted. But it also gave them the perfect shade which is something I have been struggling with for a while. So I am really pleased with this, especially as it was only £3.

You guys all loved the Look Good Feel Better Brush Review that I did a while ago, and I don't know if the Foundation Brush is new but I picked this up as I really love the quality of the brushes. I plan on using this for concealer and liquid highlighter and although it's not super soft, it's a nice brush for the price.

I picked up some more products from the Nip + Fab Glycolic Fix range so thought I would throw them in here too. First is the Instant Fix Mask and the first time I applied this, I got in the shower and then rinsed the mask off while in their and when I got out the places I had applied it were bright red and they stayed like that all night until the following morning,  but the second time I used it my skin was perfectly fine and felt so incredibly smooth and soft, so I would be careful with this if you're using this for the first time. Don't apply all over your skin just to be on the safe side as I assume it's a more potent product than the others in the range maybe?
The Scrub is quite a fine micro-scrub in quite a thick cream base, but it's really nice on the skin, smooths everything out and makes my makeup look smooth the next day. Just be careful not to scrub too harsh, especially if you have extra sensitive skin.
Finally is the Overnight Purifying Gel and although it really helps with blemishes and scars, I find if I apply it as a spot treatment after I have applied my other skincare, it balls up and rubs off so I have to pat it over my skin and gently brush anything off, I don't know if it's the skincare or if it's dead skin, eurgh didn't think of that until just now, gross. But it's great and the huge spot party I had going on at the beginning of the week has completely disappeared thanks to my new skincare products so highly recommend.

I travel to and from my boyfriends house pretty much every single weekend and I do blogging stuff over there too so I tend to take quite a lot of beauty products, so I thought I would buy one of the double sided cosmetics bags...
...so I can have all my makeup in here. I filled it up straight away and didn't have room for any of my skincare, brushes or anything, but I could reduce my makeup way down so I can fit all my beauty related things in this, I just choose not to. It's the black Glam Bag from Boots incase you want to get one too.

I also picked up this Soap & Glory Makeup Bag for my brushes when I travel. It's the perfect size and shape to fit my everyday brushes in for when I go to my boyfriends. It means none of my makeup gets covered in makeup from the brushes and everything is easy to access, fits into my bag and keeps everything together and neat and tidy. Love it.

That's it for today's haul. If you missed my New In Beauty: March then you can see that here.
Tomorrow is this weeks round up so I hope you come back and check that out too. Have a great weekend.
