The Weekly Round Up #109

08:00

It's my first weekly favourites of 2016 and I am so pumped about this new year. I hope to have a few changes this year in my life and my blog so I will keep you updated on those, but I've got quite a lot to get through so I'm going to hold the rambling and get right into the good bit...

Starting off with makeup, the Too Faced Hangover X Primer has been such a great step in my routine this week. It's so hydrating that it makes my makeup go on so smoothly over the top and generally keeps my skin looking and feeling hydrated. I've also been loving the Benefit Puff Off this week which is an under eye brightener/smooth/primer and it does all of those and my concealer looks incredible with this underneath.

For blush this week I have gone back to an old favourite, the Creme Puff Blush in Nude Mauve which is a super pigmented, illuminating blush which actually stays on my skin all day which not many blushes do. I have been using the Superdrug B. Angled Contour/Blush Brush as it's the perfect size and is really fluffy so it makes blending the colour in so much nicer and easier.

I'm not going to say too much about these as I have a review coming up on them tomorrow, but the Zoeva Naturally Yours and the Rose Golden Palettes are my absolute faves this week. I love how pigmented the shadows are, the shade range, the texture, everything about these palettes is incredible, my favourite shades have been Pure, Smooth Harmony and Lovely Monday from the Naturally Yours Palette, and Luster, Shining Bright, Rusty Petals and Wonder Full from the Rose Golden Palette. So be sure to check out my review on these too as well as the Cocoa Blend Palette,  tomorrow.

I've had a lip combo that I have been loving this week. I first start out with the Maybelline Minimal Color Drama Crayon all over the lips, and then I go in with the Barry M Lip Boss Gloss in 4 (even though the writing has worn off because it lives in my handbag) over the top. The gloss is lighter but I love how it feels and smells and so I have re-discovered this and I've had compliments on it so it's definitely a keeper.

On to my skincare must haves this week and starting off with Sanctuary Spa, you're probably all sick of hearing about this skincare range but it truly is incredible and as I am trying the products out more and more I am loving them more and more. So the % Minute Thermal Detox Mask was in my Face Off this week against the GlamGlow SuperMud and the Sanctuary Spa mask won with a full 10/10. I had a spot on my face when I woke up Monday morning, and by Wednesday Morning it was pretty much gone thanks to this mask. It's incredible and it works faster than the GG, and it makes my skin feel and look so much better. It's a must have for me now and I have just finished my GG mask and I'm not going to repurchase now I have this Sanctuary mask. Another mask I have been loving from Sanctuary is their 5 Minute Moisture Boost Mask, but I leave this on overnight as I feel it works much better. This makes my skin glow in the morning. My makeup goes on so smooth, and when I apply my moisturiser and primer my skin just feels incredible. I love this and it gives the GlamGlow ThirstyMud a run for it's money too - would you like to see a face off between ThirstyMud and 5 Minute Moisture??
Finally for Sanctuary is the Wonder Oil Serum, and this is very unique as it has part oil, part serum, so you have to shake it up really well and then I apply this onto my skin after cleansing and it's really just helped hydrate my skin, I don't have ANY dry patches at all anymore and my skin feels generally more supple and looks healthier.
I'm not sponsored by Sanctuary at all, I just really love their products and I can't get enough of them. I am doing a full review of all the products I've tried in the brand so keep your eyes peeled, that's coming very soon.

I purchased these sheet masks to try out as I've never tried a sheet mask from what I can remember. These are the Masque Bar Brightening Sheet Mask and the Luminizing Charcoal Peel Off Mask. Ben actually tried the charcoal one (he's going to kill me for telling you) but it was actually really cool. It peeled off all in one go and his skin looked great. He suffers from breakouts and blackheads and they were visibly reduced within one use. Will be getting some of the others from the range too as they have eye masks and blemish masks and all sorts. You get 3 in a pack and they're around £7 so they're not too expensive. I tried the brightening mask and was so amazed at how my skin looked and felt when I removed it. You leave it on for 25-30 minutes and when you remove it, just massage the excess into your skin. My skin felt so hydrated and soft and smooth, it glowed from the moment I took it off and the next day my skin was looking the best it's ever looked. It was glowing, I didn't have to put on any highlighter or illuminating products because my skin was just amazing. Will definitely be picking more of these ones up too.

These were actually a Christmas gift from my brother and this is the 2015 Joules Gift Bag and I have been loving the Feel Good Floral Body Wash and the Lovely Scrubbly Body Scrub. They smell great, they make my skin feel so soft and smooth and it hasn't irritated my skin. I have also been using the hand wash and hand cream which are really nice too. This is a great range and I don't know if Boots still have them or if they sell Joules stuff any other time of the year, or if you have to go direct to Joules, but if you can get them, they're really great.

There's been a few movies and TV shows that I have seen this week which are just fantastic.
First for movies is Deliver Us from Evil which was a great horror movie that was very creepy but had a great story line to it. It was released in 2014 so it's a good one to check out if you're looking for a good horror movie.
Ben and I also watched Crimson Peak now it's an older looking movie that was released in 2015 and it's a great movie that is very un-predictable. A lot of movies are very predictable and so they get boring but not this one, both myself and Ben couldn't figure out their deal until the end when they unravel the story.
I am still watching Buffy and I'm on season 3 now I believe and it is really picking up it's pace, and I love the story lines so far. I'm not sure whether I should start watching Angel now or wait until i finish Buffy. Any suggestions?

Alright that's it for this weeks favourites. I hope you have all had a great week and that you are all sticking to your new years resolutions and are back in to your regular daily routines.
