Blogmas Day #3 Winter Edit Week: Makeup Menu

Alright so it's time for a winter makeup menu, which is basically where I go through and show you the makeup that I will be wearing through winter. This is a more traditional holiday look which I love at the minute.

Starting off with the complexion, I still love a fuller coverage base in the winter, I just think it looks much better when you have a bolder lip and a warmer eye look. I have been really loving the Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation as it has a great medium coverage and it provides a bit of a glow which is what I want in these colder months to perk my skin up a little.
Other than that, my base is pretty much the same as my Autumn Edition of The Makeup Bag which you can see here, Except...

...I like to use a more neutral blush to keep the cheeks toned down so your focus point remains your focus point. You can see some of my favourite neutral blushes here but my current favourite is the Tarte Exposed Blush as it's long lasting, subtle and is matte so it allows the highlight to do it's thing and doesn't add to much pink, because when that cold weather is in full force, flushed cheeks are a natural and everyday occurrence for me without adding more pink blush too.
I also prefer to go for a more contoured look with a bit of bronzer as opposed to bronzer with a light contour. I just feel it makes skin look nicer, and I like to embrace the pale every now and then so tonnes of bronzer isn't always the right thing for my complexion.

I wear highlighter on an everyday basis, my current favourite is in the Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow. This is a more golden highlight which means it ties the entire gold eyes look together.

Alright so my first essential for the eyes is golden eyeshadows. Festive, classy and a bit of glitter is perfectly acceptable in the weeks coming up to the holidays.
My favourites? The L'Oreal Color Riche Shadow in Golden Nude, as well as the beautiful Pure Ganache from the Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette. This palette is my go to right now as I love the warm colours, plus, the pigmentation and longevity make these great shadows to wear when it's cold and windy, because they don't fade or crease or anything.
The Lorac Pro is possibly my favourite palette ever as it has all the must have shades. The Gold shade in this is absolutely beautiful, pigmented, blend-able and another long lasting formula.

For the final focus point in my Winter makeup look is bold lips. Mainly red but a berry lip is also on the makeup menu. I will be doing a post on my favourite ones but for today I have two that I wanted to share with you. (It's the same as what was in my November Favourites and in my Zoeva Makeup Look but I just shows how much I love these to mention them in numerous posts). First is a lip combo I will be getting a lot of wear from, the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Red Diva along with the Maybelline Color Drama in Red Essential. I love this combo, it's matte, long wearing and a beautiful colour. If you prefer a classic brighter red then the shade Light It Up is a great option.
As for the berry lip, I start with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob, and then for the main lip colour it has to be the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Plum Plum Girl, at first I couldn't get this lip colour to work for me but when applied over the lip liner it is a beautiful berry shade that lasts ages and feels comfortable on the lips. But I also love the Maybelline Color Drama Crayon in Berry Much and the Collection Deluxe Lipstick in Prohibition.

What's your favourite makeup look for the winter and upcoming festivities?
