Blogmas Day #16 The Perfect #MLBB

As my The Perfect Red went down so well I thought I would show you my favourite "my lips but better shades" the nudey/mauve/pinks. These are by far my preferred lip colour, whether it's a minimal makeup kind of day or for a special occassion. I can always rely on good old MLBB and so I thought I would share with your my faves.

GOSH Matte Lipstick in Matt Rose // Soap & Glory Super Colour Fabu-Lipstick in Blush Pink
Starting with lipsticks, and a fairly new lipstick into my collection but on first application I fell in love. It's a beautiful mauve/rose tone which is pretty much the same shade as my natural lips. (Well all of these are), but this formula isn't too drying, even though it's matte, and it lasts a really decent time which always surprises me. I definitely want to pick up some bolder shades too as I feel these would look great and last forever. My favourite lipstick formula is these Soap & Glory ones, specifically the matte formula. This is a (as the name says) blush pink which means it has a slightly lilac tone to it which is what I love the most about this lipstick. It applies great, looks great and doesn't dry my lips out too much.

Tip: If you find your matte lip products are drying your lips out too much, especially in the winter, then try patting a lip balm on over the top (or before you apply your lip product) to moisturise and make it more comfortable for you to wear.
Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob // Maybelline Color Drama in Minimalist
I love the Rimmel Lip Liners, they're long lasting, there's a few different shades and although they're slightly more drying than I would like. they still keep everything locked in for hours. The shade East End Snob is by far my favourite lip liner ever, it's just my signature lip colour, it goes well under any lip colour or on it's own and I love it. The Maybelline Color Drama Lip Crayons are my favourite lip product from the Drugstore, in fact of all time. They're long lasting, matte, have some great shades, apply super easy and just look amazing. The shade Minimalist is my favourite because it is the same shade as my natural lips, but it just evens them out and makes them look fuller and more even. I don't have particularly big or small lips but with this, it's easy to get a precise application (particularly handy for the bolder shades) which is why I love these so much.

Rouge Edition Velvet in Nudist // Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laque in Rose on the Rocks
As you can probably tell, the Bourjois Rouge Edition is on of my favourite lipstick formulas and I cannot wait to see what other shades they will launch. I love the shade Nudist as an everyday, easy to apply and wear lip product. It's matte, long lasting and there's such a large range of shades that there is something for everyone. Bourjois brought out the new Aqua Laques earlier this year which was a glossy finish version of their REV's and they're very cooling, give a sheer wash of colour and although they don't last as long as there predecessor, the brighter shades stain the lips giving a tint that lasts for hours.

I hope you enjoyed today's ramble about lip products. If you have any MLBB recommendations then I would love to hear them.
