Blogmas Day #15 Decorating Your Room For Less Than £25 + DIY Garland

Today's post is all about how to decorate your room for Christmas for less than £20. My boyfriend allowed me to go shopping and find some Christmassy home decor and here is what I found.

3m Garland from Wilkinsons £3.00
Pack of 9 Bells from Wilkinsons £2.50
String of Berries from Yorkshire Trading Company £1.99
DIY Garland
The garland came as one long 3m piece which I folded in half to fit along the headboard of the bed and then wrapped the string of berries round, added some bells and the piece of burlap ribbon that came on the garland I just wrapped round and tied in a bow in the middle.. It worked out so much better than I imagined and now I am going to get one for my room.

Light Up Star (Battery Operated) from Home Bargains for £9.99
(RRP £30)

This star is absolutely amazing and is something I have been looking for for ages. I love the size, it's battery operated and can be used on a time so stays on for 4 hours, goes off for 20. I just use it with the regular on off switch.

Wilkos is a great place to get home decor bits from as everything is so affordable and look great. If you want to see what Christmas bits they have then click here. There is a massive Wilkinsons in Newark where my boyfriend lives, so be prepared for more home decor hauls/posts as will definitely be going there a lot and to decorate his room for the New Year. Look at their home decor here.
As for the lights, I wrapped them round the garland and then because there was more than we thought, we draped them over the curtain rail.
Homebase also has some great Christmas home decor and for a really great affordable price. Check it out here.

Total Spent = £23.07

These decorations are all complete bargains and even my boyfriend loved his room when I was done. Nothing beats some twinkly lights and a sprinkle of festive joy. I am feeling very Christmassy now and can't wait to start wrapping gifts and starting to do my annual favourites and stuff.

What are your favourite home decor pieces for shopping on a budget?
