Blogtober Day #23 What to pick up if you're heading to Space NK

08:00

Space NK is a favourite store for purchasing some of the higher end beauty products for us UK bloggers/makeup addicts, and so I wanted to make this post to kind of follow up on my post I did a little while ago about UK beauty brands to pick up if you're taking a trip over which you can see here. So here are my favourite brands that can be purchased from an actual store or online at SpaceNK.com (which is my regular choice of shopping). Today will be makeup and skincare and I will do another one in the future for other beauty related products that they do.

Starting with makeup, these are some incredible brands, some of my absolute favourite products and most are in my everyday routines.

Starting off with makeup, and it's Hourglass' time to shine. Now although Hourglass is very expensive, there are some incredible products, very unique in formula and texture and frankly the finish they give to the skin makes the hefty price tag worth it. Hourglass can be purchased in other places too but I prefer to get it from here as they have a lot of the shades of both the Ambient Lighting Blushers and the Ambient Lighting Powders and they also still have the Ambient Lighting Powder Palette to purchase too. I plan on picking up some more makeup products from this brand, especially the complexion products and the eyebrow pencil has had a lot of love from bloggers too so may have to give that a try. Overall, hefty price tag but so worth it for the look the products give.
NARS, NARS, NARS. The brand that created my favourite-est foundation ever which is of course the Sheer Glow Foundation in Siberia. I've really started to become fond of the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation and although it will never come close to my one true love, it's still a great foundation with fantastic coverage and lasting power. The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Chantilly is another great complexion product from them. This has incredible coverage, lasts all day and covers even my dark circles which is saying something.
Finally, makeup wise from NARS the NARS Narsisst Palette holds a close place in my heart. This palette is the bomb-digitty. It has there infamous Laguna Bronzer as well as Deep Throat Blush along with others and a highlighter. This was the first palette I purchased from them and I've neglected it recently so need to make sure I show that some love the next few weeks.
Now for the only makeup brush I have from the brand is their Kabuki Artisan ITA Brush which is very popular for contouring and sculpting the face.

I don't know what my makeup would look like without the incredible Beauty Blender. This is the makeup product I recommend to everyone who wants to know, heck who am I kidding, anyone who will listen. The BB has completely changed how I apply my makeup, I hated using those makeup sponge wedges but when I finally bit the bullet and used one of these, I realised my makeup bag will never be the same without it. Okay slightly dramatic but this is incredible and although I don't really think the Micro Beauty Blenders are worth it (see my thoughts on these teeny tiny BB's here) the original will always be in my heart.

The newest additions into my makeup collection out of everything I have mentioned and that is the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed and the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid. These are the best highlighters I have ever used. Bold statement I know but very true. I don't know if there's little pieces of heaven in these things but the glow they give, oh holy cow it's stunning. I have some other Becca products on my wishlist on Space NK including their new Cream versions of the SSP's, the Under Eye Brightening Corrector and the Backlight Priming Perfect, it's a long list, just take my word for it.

One thing I forgot to include in the photo above is the Silk Creme Foundation however LM have changed the formula for that foundation and there is now a hydrating version and a matte one I believe which I haven't tried but the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder is the best under eye setting/brightening powder that I have found and it's loose which makes it even better as there's less risk of cakey, dry under eyes which no one wants really do they.
I also love the Laura Mercier Matte Radiance Baked Powder in Highlight 01 which is basically a baked highlighter but there's no shimmer, it just leaves a beautiful luminous glow on your skin so you can use it as a highlighter on your cheekbones or to set your makeup and under your eyes.

Now onto skincare and I am a massive fan of skincare products. Masks, and serums are my main crack so when I find a great product, I tend to go a bit crazy with other products from that brand. So if you're a lover of skincare, I highly recommend sticking around these parts.

Any beauty blogger who is a fan of skincare has heard of GlamGlow, and Space NK has their masks. Up first are my faves, the SuperMud and the ThirstyMud. I have only actually tried these two and I think they are absolutely incredible and the best masks I've ever tried. But they also have some others in their range: the PowerMud, the YouthMud, and the BrightMud. I have samples to try of these so I will definitely get back to you on those but out of the ones I've tried and all the incredible reviews I've seen, I am sure I will love the rest of the range. Unfortunately Space NK don't have the corresponding Cleansers available yet but hopefully they will become available too as I am very keen to give those a shot and see how they work with my skin.

I wasn't sure which section to put this in as I have a primer in here too and although Kiehls do lot's of different products, from body products to fragrances, and ranges suitable for men and women, I thought it would be more logical to put here. So let's start off with the Kiehls Micro Blur Skin Perfector, this, as the name suggests is a skin blurring primer, so any large pores or texture issues, this will give you a smooth base for makeup.
As for the skincare products I've used, the Kiehls Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado and the Kiehls Midnight Recovery Concentrate were the first products I tried from the brand and I was so blown away by them I have repurchased both twice and I have also been testing out the Kiehls Dark Spot Correcting Serum. Kiehls is a brand I trust more and more and I am definitely keen to try out more products from their range including their moisturisers, masks and body scrubs, as they're all so affordable it's not going to break the bank if you want to try a few things from them.

I have only tried one thing from Sarah Chapman and that is her Skinesis Overnight Facial Oil which I fell in love with instantly. I simply massage it into my skin after my moisturiser or exfoliating treatment and then go to bed. This makes my skin look like I've had a full nights sleep, like I've drank enough water, eaten all the right foods and still had some magic fairy dust added too. This just makes my skin look incredible, glowy, healthy, plump and it's a dream to use with other skin care products or just on it's own as a lazy girls quick treatment. This is another brand that I have a long wishlist for but I highly recommend getting your hands on this product in particular and I'm pretty sure you will fall in love with it like I have.

Oskia don't have a massive range of products like Kiehls or Sarah Chapman but they do have great quality products. I use the Renaissance Cleansing Gel every single day and I love it just like I did when I first tried it. It says it's a gel but it turns into an oil once you start massaging it into the skin and it removes dirt and makeup and anything else that shouldn't be in your face so effortlessly it takes no time at all. I also use the Perfect Cleanser on a regular basis too and this is just a thicker more luxurious balm, perfect for the upcoming colder months and it's just a great product too. I have tried a few sample sizes of other products Oskia has and my first impressions of all of them were that they were incredible and made with good quality ingredients too but they are a bit more pricey so they will have to be as a treat.

REN is a brand that I have tried the odd product from, a cleanser, a moisturiser, a serum, but their masks are always the products that stand out. Like I said I love face masks. The Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask and the Invisible Pores Detox Mask are the ones that really stood out and I use them on a regular basis as they do incredible things for my skin. REN is a great company and uses great ingredients and if you are looking for a slightly higher priced brand but that won't break the bank, I highly recommend taking a look at what they have to offer, as they have so many different ranges for different skin concerns and needs.

I had to mention the Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm also, as I just love it and it was the first balm cleanser I used. I haven't used it in months which is why there isn't a photo as I am yet to repurchase it but if you want a luxury feeling cleansing balm which does amazing things for your skin then I recommend this to you 100%, although the price seems to go up every time I look at repurchasing, so Space NK need to get on that ASAP.

I hope you liked this post and find it helpful if you are looking for some new brands to try or a new site to check out. All of these products are what I use on a regular basis and so I am confident that I can recommend these products to you, however just be aware if you do decide to pick up any of these products on my recommendation then please just be aware everyone's skin is different and so your skin may react differently to mine. Thanks for reading and I will see you again tomorrow for Blogtober Day #23.
