Blogtober Day #17 The Weekly Round Up #97

This week has gone by so fast and it always does when I've had the whole week off work. But it's given me a chance to work on some great content for you so I hope you subscribe so you can be emailed once I upload a post. If you want to see the Blogtober posts so far then click here. But for now here is my favourites of the week.

I wanted to start off today's round up with some YouTubers that I've been watching a lot this week and I highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for some new beauty channels to subscribe to.
First is Cara Lea G and this week I have been binge watching her de-cluttering series which really gets me in the grove to tidy my makeup storage and she also has a closet de-clutter coming up which I am in great need for. Plus her videos are quite long at between 25-45 minutes each so you can get ready in the morning or have a lazy evening in with some candles burning and some snacks and her voice really does relax you too. Her Instagram is worth taking a look at too.

Daceyhapa is the other blogger that I have been loving this week. She has beautiful hair, lovely makeup looks and really knows what she's talking about so highly recommend checking her out on YouTube but also on her Instagram

I picked up some more of the TRESemme Perfectly (Un)-Done range, as I've been loving the Dry Defining Spray, so I picked up the Wave Creating Sea Foam and the Ultra Brushable Hair Spray, and this week I have been testing these out and I love it. Will definitely be getting the shampoo and conditioner to try out and they also have a sea salt spray and volumising powder which I a,mak so interested in trying. I will be doing a review on this range of products as I love them so much so keep an eye out for that.

I picked up a Coconut scented candle from a store called The Range and this things smells incredible. Plus it's so affordable and the packaging is feat and can be reused. We don't have a Bath & Body Works in the UK with all the amazing autumn and Halloween scented candles but I love the scent of this, how it burns, and of course the price is great too. Will be picking up more of these on my next trip that's for sure.

I've also been loving a Wild Fig candle too which is a very autumnal scent in my eyes - But you will be seeing more of those in tomorrow's post so come back bright an early tomorrow to see some home decor bits I've picked up recently.

I change my foundations every week or so, but for the last two weeks I've been using the NARS Sheer Glow and the All Day Weightless Luminous Foundation as my combo as I love the coverage, finish and longevity that they provide when mixed together. The Sheer Glow is my favourite foundation ever anyway but I find I can't use the ADWL foundation on its own as it tends to accentuate my pores and any dry patches but mixed together it really looks flawless with a beautiful finish. If you've found that foundation causes you problems like me then try mixing it, it's much better and the lasting power on it is great for that extra step.

I am still loving the look that the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light gives to my complexion, especially when I use the LGFB Powder Brush, and the Too Faced Milk chocolate Soleil Bronzerand the Clarins Blush Prodige Illuminating Cheek Colour 02 SOFT PEACH* with the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Cheek Brush as this gives the perfect application, soft but still some colour to the cheeks. These are the only things I've been using on my cheeks and then I just pop on a bit of Incandescent Light as a subtle glow. Great group of products on their own but they look so pretty when used together too.

I've still loved using the Lorac Pro Palette, but I've been reaching for the L'Oreal Color Riche Matte Shadow and the Maybelline ColorShow Shadow in Lustrous Beige as a quick look for an everyday, not doing much of anything but want to feel slightly human kind of days. I have also been putting the Soap & Glory It's About Primer Eyeshadow Primer through some vigorous testing this week and I have to say I am super impressed so thought this needed to go into my favourites this week as well.

I love Too Faced, it's my favourite brand that I've discovered this year, and I purchased a mini size of their Melted Liquified Long Wear Lipsticksas I've heard such incredible things about them and I am in love. Possibly my favourite ever formula although I can't commit to that 199% at the minute. Need to try out some more shades first. But the shade I picked up is Melted Fig and it's a slightly darker than my lips, kind of mauve pink shade and it's kiss-proof, lasts for ages and is so comfortable on the lips. I picked mine up from eBay here* and this is only a travel size so it was slightly cheaper, but the full size retails for £15 on the Too Faced website. Love the formula, love the shade and will definitely be picking up some more shades.

I've also been loving the Gosh Lipstick in Matte Rose which is pretty much MLLB, and o just love the feel of these, they last for hours and the shade is just beautiful.

I like to use both of these lip products with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob* which is along the same colour family as these two lipsticks, not that either of them need it. It's a great drugstore lip liner as it's around £4 and it's just an all round great product.

Currently my go to nail polish is still the Barry M Daylight Curing Nail Polish in Fuschia Generation*. It's just the perfect shade, the formula is my favourite ever and it's just my colour. Highly recommend this and I know I go on about these all the time, this and the nude one are my absolute favourite polishes ever, yes you heard me, EVER

I am trying to incorporate more style kind of posts into my blog, as although my style isn't always reflective of the latest trends I find I have quite a standard style so it can be very versatile. And one piece I have been loving this week is this Leather Sleeved Waterfall Style Jacket which is from New Look. I haven't managed to find the perfect leather jacket yet but I like how this has a different look to it, it's a waterfall style jacket yet still has the leather detail to it as well. I love how it looks with jeans just as a casual outfit but it also looks great with dresses and skirts. If you want to see more style posts then please let me know what kind of thing that you want. I am working on a look book as well as some "How to style..." type posts so please keep an eye out for them. Unfortunately I couldn't find this jacket or anything similar online but if I do end up finding something I will update this and let you know via social media.

Wow this is a pretty long weekly round up this week but we're almost there. I gave myself another hair cut this week, I was t keen on how my hair was looking and I decided I wanted to cut it shorter and I have to say I really do like it now. It took me a wile to get used to the fact I couldn't put all my hair up in a ponytail never ins a bun, and once I accepted that short hair isn't as low maintenance as I thought it would be I've actually really enjoyed styling it, trying out different techniques and products and I think I am set with this cut, for now.

My favourite movies this week have to be Insidious 3San Andreas  Left Behind. I started watching Insidious and got bored so I turned it off but after seeing so many reviews and the trailers for it since its been released on DVD I finally got my boyfriend to watch it with me and it was actually a very good movie.mo have to agree that it's definitely the best one out of the three so I highly recommend going to check it out if you want a good horror movie. I've watched San Andreas before but it seemed to be even better the second time round. This is a great movie and I highly recommend checking it out too. Left Behind is one I've seen around quite a lot but never watched it but I finally watched it today and it was actually pretty good, and the fact that Chad Michael Murray was in it has absolutely no sway over my decision to watch or like this movie. Okay maybe a little.

Right, I think that's in now. Woah that was a long round up so I apologise and hope you're still with me. Join me tomorrow for a home decor haul/ideas and Blogtober continues next week and hopefully I won't miss one when we're close to the end, as I'm very proud that I haven't missed an upload for this years Blogtober and I may even start uploading posts everyday after this month is over, but we'll have to see with that one. Anyway, hope you have a great weekend.
