The Weekly Round Up #89

I know I mention products a few times in weekly round ups and then they appear in my monthly faves too but it's only because I really love them. But I will try my best not to do that as much. So this week I have been loving a few oldies but goodies and I wanted to share them with you.

First off I wanted to show you my favourite post and most popular from this week by you guys and that is the Drugstore Makeup Starter Kit. The original one I did last year was a massive success so I thought I would recycle the post and give you some more ideas for the products that are out now. Click here to see that post.

The other hit this week was the Face Off between Becca and The Balm and my two favourite highlighters ever. You can see that post here

I'm not going to talk about these too much as I mentioned them in last weeks but the Too Faced Hangover RX Primer and the Too Faced Primed & Poreless Pure Primer have been my go to's for the entire week again. They both feel amazing on the skin and keep my makeup in place all day, which is a rare thing for me as my foundation tends to break up and wear off during the day but these stop that from happening all together which is always a bonus.

Also from Too Faced is the Love Flush Blushes in Baby Love and Justify My Love. They're pigmented, last well on the cheeks and look at how adorable that packaging is. To be honest the packaging is what made me buy them, even if the product was rubbish how cute does it look. But anyway I have been loving these this week.

The Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Radiant Light and I have been getting on really well. I've been using this where I would normally apply bronzer to give a nice glowy finish, perfect for strobing (post will be coming up soon on what strobing is etc.) but I really love how this looks and especially if I'm not wearing much makeup but still want a bronze-y glow this is perfect and I have been loving it also over the top of my bronzer if I want some extra glow.

I was using the Tarte Tartelette Palette last week and this week I wanted to switch it up and so I went for the Lorac Pro Palette which is quite possibly my favourite palette ever. It's pigmented, the shadows are awesome quality and don't crease or face or do any weird stuff that they shouldn't and the shades in particular that I have been using this week is White and Cream
on the eyelids up to brow bone as a base and then Champagne and/or Nude all over the lids, then Mauve in the crease and lower lashline, and then Sable and Espresso on the outer corner, into the crease and on the lower lashline. I finish off with either some of Espresso or Black on the top lashes or go in with the L'Oreal Super Slim Liquid Liner, but either way I love how this has looked, especially the mauve shade as its a subtle definition and great for everyday. I also like how it looks with Mauve through the crease and lower lashes and then go straight in with liner or whatever.

Onto lip products and I have been obsessed with the Lollipops Lip Balm. This stuff smells amazing, fells really nice and moisturising on the lips and I love that it's in a squeezy tube so it makes it super easy to apply. I have also been getting back into the chubby stick gloss balms kind of products and the Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Sticks in Raplumzel and Nudist are by far my favourite formulas out of the bunch that I have tried - Although the Bourjois Colour Boost crayons are a close second. Both of these shades look great with the above eye look and with the bronzer, primer, blush combination I've been loving.

Onto hair now and you may have seen the Batiste Stylist range around these parts before and I have to say I am a massive fan. I discovered the Heat & Shine Spray this week which is basically a heat protector (a dry heat protector, not one that makes your hair wet first, so it's an aerosol can which you just spray onto your hair before using heat tools and it protects your hair to up to 230 degrees and then it also gives a really nice shine to your hair too. I am loving this and normally I'm rubbish at using heat protector on a daily basis as I don't like the really wet formulas but this is awesome and I am obsessed.

I dyed my hair red this week which meant my hair needed some TLC after all that hair dye and I am still loving the Aussie 3 Minute Miracle Hair Mask. I've used it about 3 times this week and my hair has never felt so soft and looked so healthy. Granted my hair wasn't bleached and normally it feels soft after hair dye but it's just felt amazing this week and I put it down to this hair mask (and probably the heat protector spray too).

The TV show I have been watching and loving this week has been Teen Wolf. I'll be honest the first season didn't blow me away and I almost gave up watching it, as the whole teenage romance thing just bores me, but come season two it has really picked up and become much better. My boyfriend is on the most recent season which I think is season 5 and he says the show matures even more so I am really excited for the next seasons and I will keep you updated on what I think and where I am on it.

On IABT this week was August Glossybox, a drugstore makeup starter kit take 2 as well as a Face Off between Becca and TheBalm so I hope you will go and check those out if you haven't already and let me know if you have any posts, reviews, face offs etc that you want to see on my blog.

What have you been loving this week?
