What's On My Face #10

It's been months since I've done a WOMF so I thought I would show you the look I've been going to quite a lot recently and it's also including some of my favourite-est products. But I'll also be showing you the skincare I use and the products I use for my hair.

I thought I would start with my skincare that I apply in the morning as I have really been loving how it feels on my skin and how my makeup applies over the top.
I don't tend to use a cleanser in the morning, I find my skin doesn't need the extra hassle so I go in with my Tea Tree Toner on my troublesome areas and then the Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturiser over the top of that. Then for all over my skin, the Soap & Glory Super Serum is by far the best thing I've found for my skin in the morning. For under the eyes the Soap & Glory You Won't Believe Your Eyes as this is cools, de-puffs and moisturises the area. Then for moisturiser the Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor has my SPF protection in and hydrates my skin all day. If I know I'm going to be outside all day I use the Soap & Glory Sunshield Superfluid SPF 50 is the only SPF I've found that doesn't make me breakout or that's too thick and greasy on my skin.

Alright onto makeup...

Starting with base first I use my regular primer duo, the L'Oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream and the Garnier Miracle Blur Eye. Then for my base I've been mixing my L'Oreal True Match Foundation in the shade C1 and the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid in Moonstone, and blend this into my skin with the Real Techniques Buffing Brush. I love how this combination makes my skin look and both products are just a match made in heaven.
For concealer my go to combo is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind to correct and brighten my dark circles and the NYX HD Concealer for under my eyes and to highlight or provide more coverage. I set the under eyes with the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder and then for the areas on my face that tend to get oily are set with the Maybelline Fit Me Powder

Now to start bronzing up my skin and making me look more alive, the Maybelline Bronze BB Cream is great as a cream bronzer to set down a base for my contour. It's light weight so it doesn't make your skin feel heavy and cakey, it just provides a light bronze tint and I then like to go over it with the Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow Sculpt shade on a Real Techniques Duo Fibre Brush to add to the bronze-ness and to sculpt the face too. For blush I've been loving the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed with the Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Blush Brush as this adds colour without applying too much. If you don't have access to Tarte, Milani Blushes are available on Amazon which are much cheaper and easier to get hold of in the UK and they are just as long lasting and there's some beautiful Rose Blushers which just look so stunning.

To finish off the complexion I go in with my new favourite highlight, the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Powder in Moonstone and the Real Techniques Fan Brush which applies the perfect amount of highlight without going overboard. I love how this highlight looks on my complexion and the overall face makeup is by far my favourite routine that I've found. Just to make sure it all stays in place, I go in with the L'Oreal Setting Spray, which settles any powder and locks everything in place all day.

Now for the eyes and I start by using the Too Faced Shadow Insurance in Candlelight as my primer/base, then I've been using the L'Oreal Color Riche Eyeshadows for a simple eye look, and I start with the matte shade Over The Taupe through the crease and along the lower lashes and then either Cafe Saint Germain or the highlight I used on my cheeks from Becca across my lid. If I need to deepen up the crease and outer corner I go in with more of the Over The Taupe shade or use some shades from the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. I always use Barry M Bold Black Waterproof Eyeliner along my top waterline, and depending what mood I'm in I will apply either that or the Maybelline Master Drama Eyeliner in Brown just for some subtle definition.
I've been getting back into winged liner recently and that's down to the L'Oreal Super Liner Perfect Slim ?? as this makes creating a wing super easy and effortless. If I feel black is too much, then I like the Collection Extreme Liquid Liner in Brown.
A few coats of the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara on the top lashes and Benefit Roller Lash on the bottom and that's the eyes done.
As for brows the Maybelline Brow Pencil is my current go to and then I set them with the Brow Drama also from Maybelline.

For the lips, if I'm not going for the Nude Lip Combo That Doesn't Budge, then something from Bourjois is usually my next choice. Something like the Bourjois Color Boost in Sunset if I'm feeling a bright lip, or the Rouge Edition Velvets or Aqua Laques for something more everyday appropriate.

In case any of you were wondering, my everyday hair look is pretty simple. If I have the energy to curl my hair then I will, I've been super lazy recently and have just been curling my hair a little bit with my GHD's. There's no rhyme or reason to how I curl it I just do it so it looks presentable, spray a shit tonne of dry shampoo in to my roots and then I've been going in with the Batiste Stylist Volumising Spray also in my roots to add volume - and boy does this add volume - and then I've been loving the Texturising Spray also from Batiste to give my hair some grit so it holds the style for longer. A bit of Got2be Hairspray and job done. Easy as that.
