Summer Edit Week: The Makeup Bag # 14 - the Bronzey Glow Edition

Today's post is all about creating a bronze glowy makeup look which is perfect for summer and it's also pretty long lasting too. I've been wearing this makeup look quite a lot with these particular products so you would have seen them in favourites recently. Plus, it all fits in the makeup bag which is amazing.

Starting with primer I'm currently liking the Kiehls Micro-Blur Skin Perfector which is very similar to the Benefit Porefessional and my beloved L'Oreal Blur Cream. It smooths, perfects and makes everything last longer. Onto foundation and the  NARS All day Weightless Luminous Foundation is great for the summer as it provides good coverage, lasts all day and gives the perfect not too matte, not too dewey finish. As for concealer my current routine to cover up my dark circles is first applying the Maybelline Anti Age Rewind Brightening Concealer and then I go in with the Barry M Light Reflecting Concealer to brighten and conceal any extra darkness and add some extra highlight on my face. As for blemishes, the foundation tends to cover most of it up but just in case, the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is my go to.

To make sure everything stays in place I use the Rimmel Lasting Finish Powder on the perimeters of my face and on my necka nd thenI use the Laura Mercier Secret Brightening Powder for under my eyes and to set wherever I put the concealer.

Now for the bronze glow, I like to apply a cream or liquid highlight first and for this particular look I love the Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow on the cheekbones, forehead, down the nose, Cupid's bow etc. Then to set that and add extra glowy-ness the Famous Baked Bronzer is possibly my favourite product out of this entire look. It's a baked bronzer so it adds a beautiful sheen to the skin which just looks so stunning.

For extra bronzey-ness the Sleek Face Form in Light is a great bronzer for fair skin tones. I apply this where you would normally apply bronzer and if I ever need to add some more glow I just play more of the baked bronzer. I don't think a blush is really a necessity in this look but I love this Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed which is a very neutral, natural shade and goes with any makeup look.

Onto brows and my current routine consists of the Maybelline Brow Pencil to fill in space areas and the Maybelline Brow Drama which sets my brows in place all day.

You've seen the "Rimmel Bluffing" Shadow Stick in a lot of favourites in the last month as I am completely obsessed with it. It's a cream shadow stick which is a taupe/purple/bronze shade that once blended in, sets in place and stays put. Doesn't crease, doesn't budge a millimeter. I like to apply either the Seventeen Eyeshadow in Rose Quartz or the L'Oreal Shadow in  Cafe Saint Germain which is possibly my favourite eyeshadow EVER! I love how it looks and the Seventeen shadows are incredibly pigmented and shimmery and look awesome.

I like to apply the Barry M Bold Black kohl Eyeliner on the top and bottom water line, and then the Maybelline Master Drama Brown Eyeliner along the top and bottom lash line and smudged out. Finally to finish it all off is a quick curl of the lashes and a few hundred layers of mascara, my favourite? The Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.

My lip combo recently has been the Soap & Glory Matte Lipstick in Blush Pink with the Barry M Lip Boss Lip Gloss in 4 which is a great drugstore lip gloss which smells absolutely incredible and quite frankly looks amazing.

Everyone needs a go to bronze glow look and here's the products I have been putting together to create mine. But I will be posting The IABT Guide: To Bronzers so you can see some of my other favourite bronzers.

What is your favourite highlighter to create that sunkissed bronze summer glow?
