L'Oreal Setting Spray

I haven't really tried any makeup setting sprays, in fact I have only tried the NYX Dewey Finish Setting Spray which I liked but didn't know if it was the best as I didn't have anything to compare it to. So when I saw the L'Oreal Infalliable Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray I got very excited.

Unfortunately it's not available in UK stores yet so I got mine from Amazon but it is pretty expensive at £16.35 on there.

The Claims:
Lightweight Mist,
Barely there,
No touch ups,
No melting off your face,
No fading
Prevents colour from smudging or settling into fine lines,

Alright, so they're pretty standard claims when it comes to setting sprays but how does it stand up to these promises?

The Test:
This is a makeup extender setting spray so it is recommended to be used after you've applied all your makeup, but sometimes if I really need to make sure my makeup lasts all day, I will spray it on before I put my makeup on, this is a great way to prep the skin too.
It's a very fine mist which doesn't leave my skin feeling drenched which is obviously great as it doesn't ruin the makeup I've just applied. In regards to the longevity of my makeup when I use this, I can certainly tell a difference. My makeup tends to break up around my nose and cheeks first but this has really helped with that. I also tend to get quite sweaty especially with the heat wave we had (which only lasted a week, typical British weather, short-ass summer) which made the perfect conditions to test this out and it worked really well. It kept everything locked into place, it helped to settle any powder down so it didn't look cakey or powdery and there was no sinking into fine lines or any sliding around.

Does it work??
Overall I am really impressed with this setting spray and I highly recommend it if you can get your hands on it. I hope they bring it to the UK soon, but if not there are other setting sprays available at drugstore prices, but they tend to be more facial mists rather than setting sprays.
