Drugstore Recommendations #7: New Drugstore Beauty Launches

I hope you all enjoyed Summer Edit Week last week and that you're ready for a post everyday through July. Today's post is very popular here on my blog so I thought it was about time I did another one. So here's some new beauty launches from the drugstore that I thought you might be interested in. Enjoy...

Maybelline have been nailing it when it comes to their new launches and these are no different.

First is the Dream Bronze BB 6 in 1 Beauty Balm which is basically a liquid bronzer/BB cream, and it can be used lots of different ways. Under makeup, over makeup, as a liquid bronzer, mixed in with foundation, as an all over bronze glow, top up self tanner type thing or to darken up your foundation for the summer, to name a few. This is in the light/medium skin tone shade and I find that it's not too pigmented so it's easy to work with and you don't end up with orange streaks on your face which is always a good thing.

Also on the bronzer front is the Master Sculpt Powders which have a bronzer/contour and a highlighter. The light/medium shade is a perfect colour to generally just bronze up my skin, and then the medium/dark shade is an incredible contour shade on me. Both highlighters are beautiful too and although they are a tad glittery, they still look beautiful on the skin. They come with a brush too which isn't something I'm normally bothered about but it's actually great for contouring as its a flat shape and can get right into the hollows of your cheeks and other areas of your face.

Finally for Maybelline is their The Nudes Palette which has 12 eye shadows in that are all neutral tones. They have a mixture of mattes and shimmers, both of which are pretty good for a drugstore offering and it can be used for a daytime or nighttime look for any occasion.
When a palette has a matte black, as well as some good crease colours and highlight shades in there, it's a pretty darn good palette if you ask me.

Another cheek product is the new Bourjois Aqua Blushes which are basically a water-light gel blush that you pump out and it gives a refreshed, bare skin appearance. perfect for those minimal, natural makeup looks that summer is perfect for. These are £8.99 which is slightly steeper than other blushers from the drugstore but they're a unique product so they're definitely worth picking up and trying.

To be honest I'm not sure if the Original Source Body Lotions are new to the drugstore, but I haven't seen them before and I am always on the lookout for a coconut-ty moisturiser. This has the scent of the coconut with a twist of lime so it's very refreshing. It's a light lotion but highly nourishing and sinks in to the skin so fast that it's perfect for the summer months when skin can tend to get dry due to the suns rays and self tanner. Highly recommend picking this up, even if you prefer a different scent, they have a vanilla and almond scent too which would be a great winter scent, especially if it's the body butter as they're even more nourishing and feel more luxurious. definitely will be picking one of those up.
