Beauty blender micro - is it worth it?

I picked up these cute mini Beauty Blenders a while ago and I've been trying them out here and there, and thought it was about time I should come on here and settle the question many original BB lovers have asked since their release...

Are they worth it?

In case you don't know what a beauty blender is, it's a makeup sponge that when dampened expands to almost double its size. This makes applying makeup flawlessly, and it's also great for dry skin or those who want a dewey complexion. They're very versatile as its not just liquid products like foundation or concealer that you can apply with this sponge, but cream blushers or bronzers, and even powder products too. I love the original Beauty Blender so I was intrigued to find out how these cute little fellas performed.

They're obviously a lot smaller than the original, which makes them perfect for concealer around the eyes. They leave a really lovely finish and you can also apply setting powder with them too.
Highlighting and contouring is becoming incredibly popular again in the beauty world and these mini beauty blenders are beautiful for it. Cream products are so easy to blend out with these and you can always set them with a powder after.

Personally I don't think the Micro Beauty Blenders are a necessity and that if you already have the original size, you can do everything with that that you could with the mini one. If you don't want to spend the money for a BB then the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge is a lot cheaper and works just as well.

Have you tried the Beauty Blender Original or Micro?
