May's Birchbox

This weeks info card was slightly different as it came in a little booklet and the theme for this months box is Free Your Mind...

Colouring Pencils
Very random I know but they like to throw things like this in as a little extra. Plus they're for colouring in the box, which is a fantastic concept and actually pretty calming.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Tinted Moisturiser in Light  |  £27
Skincare is an incredibly important part of my life and I love trying new skincare but I am always on the lookout for something that will have extra benefits. So tinted moisturisers are great products for anyone who is in a bit of a rush. This one is in the shade light but it only has a little bit of a tint in (hence the name) so it actually gives a really pretty glow, perfect for every day or for a minimal makeup kind of occassion.

WAH London Nail Art Pen  |  From £7
I received the nail art pen in a really pretty blue navy kind of colour. There were also the options for a nail polish and press on nails but I'm glad I got this one. It has a nail striper as well as a metal nib for other details. I will be giving this a try over a white base so I will probably do a Monday Mani or Instagram post or something.

Parlor by Jeff Chastain Moisturising Sea Salt Spray  |  £17
When I see the words sea salt spray, I always think it will leave my hair dry and crispy and generally not in great condition so when I saw this was a moisturising one I was intrigued. There's almond oil to nourish the hair and vitamin-rich algae to add texture. It smells divine, a summer appropriate scent.

Whish Three Wishes Body Butter in Almond  |  £14.50
Body butters are generally more popular in the autumn and winter but spring can still be fairly cold in the UK so this particular one is perfect. It's not a heavy body butter like The Body Shop ones which is what makes this perfect for this time of year.

Jelly Pong Pong Carribean Sun Bronzer Duo in Martinique  |  £15.95
I loved the All Over Glow from this brand before so when I saw this I got excited. There is a matte bronzer (which looks very orange so not my kind of thing) but there's also a blush which is a very unusual shade, very shimmery and also not a shade I would wear so I will probably end up giving this away or something. In regards to the actual products the pigmentation and blendability etc is really great. I'm keen to try more products from this brand, I hope they're as good as the highlighter that I love so much.

Number 4 Lumiere d'Hiver Reconstructing Masque | £36
This is a moisturising hair mask that contains soy proteins, shea butter, sunflower seed and jojoba seed oil which will smooth, nourish and strengthen your hair leaving a beautiful shine to your tresses. It says to apply this from roots to tip although with the nourishing ingredients I would t apply right at the roots as don't want it to make my hair appear greasy. Hopefully there will be enough in this little packet to get a feel for the product although would be one use only. I prefer hair samples to come in bottles or pots as they often come with more that one use in them so you can really get a feel for them.

I have mixed feelings on this months box, not the best but not the worst.

Have you tried anything from this box?
