New NARS Foundation

Happy Friday guys. Thought I'd throw this review in here for you today and give you my thoughts on this new NARS foundation. Enjoy...

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation is my favourite ever foundation and any NARS products I try I'm always blown away so when this little beauty was released I had to get my hands on it.

The shade match is 100% perfect and the same shade name as the SG. The texture is very liquidy and I use about 2 pumps which gives an incredible coverage yet still looks like skin. The only qualm I have about this foundation is that it tends to cling to dry patches and excentuate pores if I haven't exfoliated, which is a pain because I was really hoping for something completely outstanding with this product, but this really lets it down for me. Although when applied onto freshly exfoliated skin this looks stunning. Plus there's lots of other reasons why I like this foundation so exfoliating is not a big deal really.

Application: 10/10 This gives a flawless yet natural look, with decent coverage that can be sheered out or built up for full coverage. I love applying with the Beauty Blender or the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush as these give a beautiful finish to the complexion and the foundation just blends out seamlessly and effortlessly with this formula.

Longevity: 9/10 It says it's 16 hour wear which I haven't tested for quite that much because I don't need to wear makeup for that long. When I first wore this, it lasted through wind, torrential rain and 12 hours of wear. However it can sometimes make my skin look super dry which is why this only got a 9/10.

Ingredients: 9/10 This is oil, paraben, SPF, alcohol and fragrance free, which makes it great for flash photography, as well as the summer time when skin can get a tad oily in the hot weather, and fragrance free means people with sensitive skin can also wear this and it won't irritate.

Coverage : 10/10 You can apply a light layer all over the skin to even out the complexion, or you can apply slightly more to give you a full coverage finish whilst still looking like skin. It covers freckles, redness and scars from breakouts so it really it's a foundation that is suitable for many people and their different coverage requirements. Considering this is the brands first full coverage foundation, they've done a pretty darn good job don't you think?

Finish: 10/10 For me this finish is perfect as its not too matte and not too dewey, it's the perfect balance between the two which also makes it great for different skin types. I like to add an illuminator before my foundation if I want it to be more glowing, but you don't need to set the foundation with any powder unless you're super duper oill but otherwise I can just leave it as it is.

Packaging: 9/10 Glass bottle isn't great for travel as is quite heavy but has a pump which is always a great thing for foundation. Would be great in either a plastic bottle with a pump or a squeezy tube with pump, but for now this is absolutely fine.

Price:  The NARS foundations don't tend to be cheap, they're £32 so it's pretty high but it is a luxury brand. It's a darn good product and I have repurchased the SG without a second thought as I trust the products that much, so this one may get the same treatment once I get into it. It's fantastic value for money too because even if I use this everyday at around 2 pumps, because it's so runny and liquidy it will last a very long time.

Shade Range: 9/10 I have the lightest shade Siberia (Light 1) which is neutral yellow tones and it's the same shade I have in the SG too. It's a perfect match for my skin which is really difficult for me and they are the only foundations that truly match my skin tone 100% which is insane. But there are 20 shades in the range and they have all sorts of different undertones for warm, neutral and cool skin tones. There's something for everyone.

Overall: 8/10 The main reason for that score is the fact it looks dry on my skin if I don't exfoliate and it can excentuate dry patches thoughout the day. Overall I like the consistency, the coverage it provides, I love how versatile it is and is everything you could need in a foundation.

As you can tell, I really do like this new NARS All Day Lumimous Weightless Foundation a lot and if those few kinks are worked out, then it would be 10/10's across the board.

Have you tried this foundation or anything else from NAR you would recommend?
