Sunset Daylight Curing
Monday Mani #28

...You read that right, daylight curing. What is it you ask? Well, the special formula bonds to the nail like a gel in daylight, so where you would normally use a UV light to cure your nails when getting your nails done, these have been designed so that the sun is your very own UV light. Simply apply two layers of the polish colour and then a layer of the top coat and leave to dry, it dries pretty fast too so you don't have to wait around forever. You must use the special Sunlight Curing Top Coat, there was no need for my trusted Seche Vite.
These come in at £4.99 each which is a massive saving if you go and get your nails done at the salon, and they're just as resilient and shiny as the real thing. What's also great is there's no need for a base coat so you can get this done in less than 10 minutes and be out the door, no smudging or smearing it, no catching it before it dries, just a beautiful shine and lovely looking nails.
As for the top coat, it only works with the Sunset Curing Polishes but I'm sure it would be fine with a regular polish as the formula itself is fast drying, shiny etc so would still be great on its own.
Here's what they direct you to do:
1. Apply a thing layer of your chosen Sunset colour in a thin layer directly onto nails
2. Allow the colour to dry for 2 mins & apply a second layer of colour
3. Leave to dry for 5 minutes & then apply the Sunset Top Coat to seal it all in
The thing about gel nails is they're a biatch to remove but with these, they remove with a regular nail polish remover. They don't mess up your natural nails, they don't stain or leave them feeling brittle.
The shades currently available are:
Can't get out of my Red which is a beautiful fire engine red
You drive me Navy which is funnily enough a navy blue
Do it like a Nude which is the prettiest nude cream shade I've ever seen (shade on my nails above) it looks chic and classy and is the best nude polish I've ever worn
Peach for the stars that is a stunning peachy pink, perfect for spring and summer
Way you make me Teal they have a shade similar to this in their Gelly Hi-Shine range which is beautiful
I've been Pinkin which I can only describe as a candy pink
Fuchsia Generation the shade I was drawn to immediately, a raspberry pink colour
I am really impressed with these polishes and I will definitely be picking up more shades. I hope they add a tonne more to the collection too. Well done Barry M you nailed it yet again.
Will you be giving these a try?
