April Favourites

This month has been one heck of a ride. First a parking ticket, then a car accident, but it's also been a great month. I met a guy, works going good and I've been doing yoga which has been really helping my dodgey hip and back issues. If you want to see which YouTube channels and blogs I recommend when it comes to all things yoga, health and fitness related click here
I've uploaded some of my favourite posts this month so go check them out.

The Oskia Renaisance Cleansing Gel has really stuck out to me this month. It's a great cleanser and I've loved it from the first time I tried it, but it's perfect for the current weather changes. I haven't been washing my face every morning (only when I feel my skin needs it) but in the evening this is what I use for my second cleanse and it's one of my favourite skincare products right now. Along with the Soap & Glory
Beauty Sleep Accelerator Night & Flight Moisture Miracle, as this has made my skin so soft and generally just hydrated which is a great feeling with the seasons changing.

I've been loving this Toni & Guy Texture Matt Dry Shampoo which I use mainly for its texturising properties than its oil absorbing, hair refreshing qualities.

There's been a select few products that I've used pretty much all month that I cannot get enough of. Up first is the foundation combo I've been using. The NARS Sheer Glow Foundation mixed with the Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation and I have been using the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush to apply and buff it into the skin. Because I love the Beauty Blender so much I have to go over it quickly to make sure there's no streaks or anything.

Now for concealer and yes 5 concealers in one post is excessive, but I have been loving all of these for different reasons.
Up first is the best concealers I've found for colour correcting and that's the Maxfactor CC Sticks there's 5 in total but the green one is my favourite. If you have redness from a breakout or just general redness then this is the answer. It's creamy, blends really well and although it's green, once blended it's practically invisible.
Next for the dark circles and my recent finds have been the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer
with the NYX HD Concealer. The Maybelline concealer corrects and brightens whilst the NYX HD Concealer covers and highlights. I have been loving the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to blend these in, as it gives a natural finish and removes any excess product whilst still keeping the coverage. I like to set that concealer with powder but I have loved using the ELF Blush Brush which is the perfect size for around the eyes. Also great for setting the next product in place too. Which is the Rimmel Lasting Finish Concealer which is super high coverage, creamy and lasts all day.

Eyes & Brows...

Now for the products I've been using on my eyes pretty much every day and first is the Kiko Cream Shadow in 01 has been the only primer I've used on my eyes. It's a beautiful champagne shade with some shimmer. It lasts all day and keeps everything crease-free. I've been a massive fan of cream shadow sticks this month and the Kiko Cream Shadow in 06 is the perfect bronze shade for the outer corner and lower lash line. Just incredible. The Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Stick in Bluffing is a great shimmery taupe shade that's perfect for all over the lid. Once it's applied, this thing stays put all day, it's insane. Both of these are easy to blend, creamy and last all day. I love to blend them out with the Real Techniques Domed Shadow Brush as this blends it out evenly and is generally just great for cream shadows.
If I want to make things a bit more intense then the Lorac Pro Palette is always my first choice. The shade Pewter is perfect for the outer corner and lower lashline. The shades White, Champagne, Cream and Champagne are perfect for all over the lid colours, or inner corner brighteners. This palette is da bomb diggity - check out my review here.

Eyebrows have been somewhat of a focus for me this month as I have been trying out some different techniques. The Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette has been the perfect easy brow powder for me. It's a great shade match and easy to apply as I use the Real Techniques Angled Brush which is the right amount of stiffness to apply the product but not too much that it just moves the product around and sweeps it straight back off again. The Maybelline Brow Drama gave the finishing touches and set everything in place.

As for lip products, I discovered the Bourjois Rouge Edition Aqua Laques which are a really break gloss which feels as light as water on the lips and they give the perfect amount of pigmentation and are going to be perfect for the spring and summer.

Check out my Instagram to see these products on ma face and the hair style I've been rocking.
I can't believe it's May. My birthday is in 7 days, it's well into spring and almost the middle of the year.
