The Weekly Round Up #70

Happy Saturday guys, hope you've all had a good week and have been loving the sunshine. It's been so beautiful in the UK so it definitely feels like spring.

Anywho, here's this weeks favourite products...

The Maxfactor CC Concealers have been gret at covering up redness and blemishes. I have the Green and Yellow ones although there is a highlighting stick, a lavender shade for dull skin and a peachy pink shade for correcting dark circles and I may have to pink these ones up too as I love the formula of them. They're very creamy and do what they are supposed to. I use them mainly on any blemishes or redness around my nose, I don't tend to use them under my eyes although I would try the peachy pink one out on my dark circles.

Speaking of dark circles I finally got my hands on a new Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Brightening Concealer. I've been without this for a really long time and although I've been getting on okay without it, it's just amazing and I'm glad I have it back. I picked up two just in case I couldn't get my hands on it again. This stuff is great at covering my dark circles, I can use this on its own and they're pretty much neutralised and gone. Amazing. We don't have the brightening shade on the UK, so I had to purchase it on Amazon so if you know of anywhere else in the UK that sells it that's easier to get hold of then please let me know. I've also finally found the NYX HD Concealer and I've been pairing this with the Eye Eraser and it's been a perfect combo. I've been using the Real Techniques Stippling Brush to blend them out and the results are just incredible. They banish my dark circles all day. Bottom line, I love it.

As for eyes this week, I have used the Kiko Cream Shadow Pot in 01 every single day. It's a shimmery champagne shade and the formula is really creamy so it applies nicely on the lid but it doesn't Creme as I tend to set it with an eyeshadow to keep it in place. But I really love this and it's currently the only shade I have but I will definitely be picking up more as they have the shimmery shades as well as matte ones.

For the shadows I've been using to set the cream base is from the Lorac Pro Palette and I use a mixture of White, Cream, Nude or Champagne and this really helps brighten the eye and keep me looking more fresh and awake, as I need all the help I can get currently. I like using just the White shade right on the inner corner and tear duct just to brighten even more.
I have been using the black shade as an eyeliner this week too. I apply a small amount onto my top lashes and then wing it out, but I keep it very light and smudgey so it's not too harsh against my pale skin and I've been loving this look. Perfect for everyday and super easy when you have a good angled brush, it does the hard work for you when creating that wing.

I've been using the shade Frisk from the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette to fill in my eyebrows and using the Real Techniques Angled Eyeliner Brush to apply and I've really liked how this looks. I'm not one for super strong brows, especially if my eye makeup is quite neutral and toned down so this shade is perfect to add some definition yet keeping it natural, nothing too OTT.

I've been loving the Maxfactor Lipstick in Star Dust Pink as it's an everyday pinky nude shade and is very similar to the Bourjois Aqua Laque in Rosé on the Rocks which I showed in last weeks round up, along with the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in East End Snob, so I've been using them all for the entire week. As you can probably tell I'm a massive fan of the low maintenance, everyday neutral pink shades and these 3 products are just perfect.

Onto hair now and the L'Oreal Mythic Oil has made its easy back into my everyday hair routine. I have been using the Beauty Protector Oil & Protect for ages now but I've ran out of it and I'm now back onto this L'Oreal one now which is what I used before the BP one anyway. It's light, doesn't leave my hair looking greasy and my hair feels super soft. I cut my hair this week and I took a good 2-3 inches off so it's felt a lot healthier, looking a lot shinier and generally just feels better.

Another hair product is the Organix Moroccan Curling Perfecting Defining Cream and this was my first week using it and it also has had a massive part in making my hair feel softer. You're supposed to use it when your hair is wet and scrunch it into your hair to create natural waves. But I prefer to apply it through the ends of my 50% dry hair, I then leave it to completely dry naturally and in the morning once I've slept on it, I have some really soft waves which is a nice style for the spring, so it works either way.

To add some texture into my hair and to also absorb some of the oil between washes I've been loving the Toni & Guy Casual Texture Dry ShampooIt smells awesome and it adds lots of volume which was the reason I bought it in the first place.

Finally, as I showed my iPhone case in last weeks post I thought I would show you this weeks which is this...

... I love it, it's adorable and it's not as bulky as the one from H&M in last weeks post. Plus, who doesn't love macaroons?

I am still loving Elementary, I'm a few episodes into season 3 so not too much left to watch now but I am really into it. If you haven't watched it then I highly suggest just watching the first episode, you'll love it.

What have you been loving this week??
