March Favourites

So March has been a pretty good month for me. I've started yoga, been feeling much better and tried some amazing products. If you would like to see what new products those were then check out my beauty haul here. Onto the favourites...

Starting off with the yoga as that has definitely been my favourite thing of the month. You may or may not know but I have a bit of a dodgey hip (that's an understatement right there) and as the professionals aren't doing much of anything to help me, I had to take matters in to my own hands. So I researched yoga, and took a swing at it, I've built my way up to what feels comfortable and I'm slowly going to continue working up as time goes on. But I've felt a massive difference in the exercises and poses I've been doing. I do a mix of abs, legs and then strength and balance. All going good so far.

Now for the skincare item which is probably my fave of the year already. The GlamGlow ThirstyMud is an amazing, hydrating face mask than can be left on for 20 minutes or overnight and it leaves my skin so soft and smooth, hydrated and just darn amazing. Which in turn makes my makeup, apply nicer and look even better.

Okay so up next is base and starting off with the L'Oreal Magic Blur Cream all over the skin and then I've been applying the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation with either the Louise Young LY34 Brush or the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush and both just give an amazing natural finish. The foundation has a light to medium coverage and with the Lasting Finish Powder over top to set it all in place, it's the perfect everyday combo. Check out my review on these Rimmel Lasting Finish products here.

The MeMeMe Illuminator and the Benefit High Beam have been my illuminators of choice this month. I apply one on my cheekbones and blend it in with a damp Beauty Blender and they just look stunning. I'm so impressed with both of these and a comparison will be coming up soon, but they're pretty much identical so it doesn't matter if you have either one really.

Next is two mascaras that I've been really liking using on their own or together. First is the Maxfactor Clup Defy which has a slightly curved wand, making it super easy to grab each lash and lengthen and lift and it makes my eyes look nice and wide. The Maybelline Lash Sensational also has a curved brush but it's bristles are different lengths to make sure each and every lash is grabbed and coated in the blackest of black formula. Both are drugstore, both define, lengthen and lift the lashes up to really open up your eyes.

Continuing with the eyes is the Kiko Cream Eyeshadow Sticks. I have been totally obsessed with these as they're so easy and affordable and great for a quick look that still gives the impression you actually took time to do your makeup. 25 is a light almost skin tone shade which I apply all over the lid, and then using 06 I apply this in the outer corner and along my lower lashline and smudge out using a brush and I just build it up until I'm happy with the look. I'll often just leave it like that, whack some mascara on and it's all done. If not, then I will use the Collection Nude Eyeshadow Palette to add a little something extra. I love that this is such an affordable, great eyeshadow palette which has everything you could need for an eye look - some highlight shades, theres mid tone taupes and browns and then some darker shades.

The L'Oreal Rouge Caresse Lipstick has been a great product to transition into spring. It's pink, it's fairly sheer and it screams spring to me so I've been loving this and take it with me everywhere.

As for my music favourites...
Ed Sheeran
Neon Trees
Mariannas Trench

Finally for my TV series of the month, it has to be Supernatural. Great show, I'm currently on season 3 now (7 more to go) and I'm still hooked. Although Elementary may take over. Started watching it this week and it's pretty darn awesome,

That's it for my March Favourites. Hope you've enjoyed the posts on IABT this month and are excited for spring, I sure am. Let me know your favourite products to transition into spring.
