February Favourites

It's monthly favourites time again guys, which means it's the end of another month. Seriously? Already?

So you've probably already seen my favourite products of the month in my weekly round ups, so I'm going to quickly go over them and then I will apply the makeup products and create a look for you which will be on my Instagram. It's something different and who knows, maybe it will be a regular monthly occurrence.

Starting off with skincare, I have been loving the GlamGlow SuperMud face mask. This stuff sucks out any nasty stuff from your pores that shouldn't be there and leaves my skin feeling so soft and clean and awesome I just wish I had a never ending supply of this stuff. Although it's pretty pricey, I have barely used any as it doesn't take a lot for it to do its magic and I've barely made a dent in mine. I love it and it's just an amazing product.nreally keen to give the other masks a try.

I've been testing these too products out for the entire month of February and I can officially say I love them. The Soap & Glory Beauty Sleep Accelerator is an amazing night time moisturiser but it feels like an overnight mask too. It's not thick on the skin and it sinks in straight away but you barely need any with this and it does an incredible job, very similar to the Origins Overnight Mask. There will be a face off with the two shortly so keep an eye out but it's a great alternative. The Puffy Eye Attack Turbo Boost HydraGel is a really great drugstore eye cream. This stuff has some serious hydration powers. I mainly use this in the morning as makeup applies beautifully on it.

First off, before I get into the makeup bits, I wanted to show you the tools I will be using for this look. I recently picked up the Real Techniques Nic's Picks which has some limited edition brushes included. From left to right: Duo Fibre Face Brush, Cheek Brush (limited edition) Angled Shadow Brush (limited edition), Base Shadow Brush and Eyeliner Brush (limited edition). They're all amazing and if you can get your hands on them, I highly recommend. Check out my Drugstore Makeup Brush Guide HERE.

My new favourite primer that I discovered this month is the L'oreal Nude Magique Blur Cream which is complete ringer for the Benefit Porefessional which has been pushed aside. This L'Oreal primer is amazing at smoothing over the skin, making your makeup last even longer and just being completely awesome. I apply this in the centre of my face as that's where makeup tends to disappear first and it's also where I apply most of my makeup anyway.

NARS Sheer Glow Maxfactor Luminizing Foundation Jelly Pong Pong All Over Glow Perfect glowy base. Seriously. It's awesome. I mix all 3 products together on the back of my hand and use a damp Beauty Blender to apply. It's done in less than 60 seconds and looks awesome. I love it.

The NARS Virtual Domination Palette has been my only source for bronzer this month. Since purchasing this, I have not been able to stop using the Laguna bronzer. Although it's pretty much identical to the Sleek Contouring & Blush Palette it's just so beautiful. I love the blushers in here but I've been really loving these...

Presenting the Maxfactor Creme Puff Blushes. Now I have a slightly concerning obsession with blushers and these two are just stunning. They apply nicely, blend effortlessly and last all day. Plus, these little pots will last forever, they're so pigmented you literally just need to tap your brush on the top once and that's enough for both cheeks. These two shades, Gorgeous Berries and Seductive Pink are the only ones I have but they are so stunning and both are great for any season.

Onto the eyes and the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette has been a staple in my everyday makeup looks as it's so versatile. I first start off with a mixture of the shades Frisk and Primal on the Eyeliner Brush and run it through my brows. I then take the Angled Shadow Brush and apply Frisk through the crease and outer corner, with a small amount of Cover too. Using the Base Shadow Brush I apply Skimp on the lid and inner corner and finally, using the Eyeliner Brush again to apply Undone onto the top lashline, and lightly using Primal along the bottom lashes too. Add some of Stark onto the brow bone and that's one eye look from 6 shades and 3 brushes.

Normally when it comes to mascara, I always use an eyelash curler but with the Benefit Roller Lash Mascara, I can get away without it. This stuff is incredible. It lengthens, defines, curls, stays put and layers amazingly. You can build some serious volume with this. I didn't think I would like the wand but I actually am a huge fan and have a Maybelline mascara that I want to try as it has a similar wand. This sample was in this months issue of ELLE however Benefit have now released Roller Lash and is available on their website.

Finally, when it comes to the lips, I have a combo that I have been loving this month. I start off with the Soap & Glory Super-Color-Fabu-Lipstick in Blush Pink and add the Maybelline Color Sensational Hi-Shine Gloss in Fabulous Pink over the top.

I haven't removed this necklace all month. This star necklace that I found on a store online is my favourite jewellery piece right now. I haven't worn any other jewellery and I'm still no where near being bored of it. I just love how simple it is and that it goes with everything.

I really hope you have liked this months favourite and if you like how I've incorporated creating a makeup look into it then please let me know so I can do more or find something different to do each month.

What have you loved this month?
