The Weekly Round Up #68

So this week has been a rollarcoaster ride. Some bad days, some really good. I apologise there wasn't a post on Wednesday, I don't have an excuse I just wasn't feeling anything I was trying to write, almost like writers block except I knew what I wanted to write about, just struggled to get my writing style in there.

But enough of that, here's a few things that I've really loved this week.

Up first is the Real Techniques Multi Task Brush which I've been using for foundation. I've been mixing the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation with the NARS SG and it's been giving a beautiful finish and I just love it. Great brush, super soft and fluffy and blends in quickly without any streaks, just a flawless finish.

To go with the natural look, I've been loving the MeMeMe Cherubs Blush Cheek Stain, and I've been using the ELF Small Stippling Brush to apply. I don't like applying a cheek stain straight onto my skin as it tends to stain the first place it touches and then it just looks silly, so I apply it onto the brush and then buff it onto my cheeks. Beautiful, natural flush in seconds. Plus, the MeMeMe Highlighter is great along with it.

Onto the eyes now and the Soap & Glory Arch de Triumph Brow Highlighter has been part of my everyday routine. Although I don't often use the brow pencil (although it is great and gives a natural brow) but it's the highlighter that I've been particularly keen on. I've been using this as an eyeshadow base. I apply it all over the lid and under the brow and it just keeps everything in place and makes shadows look better.
I've been loving the Urban Decay Naked Basics 2 Palette. It has some great shades for everyday neutral looks and I really do use it every single day. I like to use Frisk in the crease and Primal on the lower lashline and outer corner.
To finish off my everyday, natural eye look the Collection Eyes Uncovered Nude Palette is my go to. The shimmery highlight shade in Buttercream is just perfection and the taupe-y bronze shades Chocolate Milk and Brown Sugar are great either all over the lid or on the outer corner for some definition. I like to wear this look with a few coats of mascara and some black liner either smudge on the top lashes and on bottom waterline, or I go back in with the highlighting pencil and go for a more wide eyed look. Love it. Highly recommend all these products to everyone. There's some other palettes in the Collection Eyes Uncovered Range, one more grey tones and the other more bronze so I'm keen to get my hands on them as they're such brilliant shadows for the price. Let me know if you want me to do a review/swatches on these palettes.

As for the lips, the Maybelline Color Elixir in Blush Essence is another great drugstore product that I cannot recommend enough. Great product, great colour selection and perfect for the Spring.

As for hair, the Schwartzkopf Got2Be Hairspray has been doing a great job at keeping my curls locked and loaded. My hair is ridiculously long and in desperate need for a hair cut, but this just makes everything slightly easier to manage and doesn't make my hair feel crispy or anything. I can still run my fingers through my hair and it doesn't feel like there's any hair spray in at all. Clearly I'm on a drugstore kick this week (except the Urban Decay Palette).

There we go, there's this weeks favourites. It's nearly the end of March so stick around for monthly favourites.
