Products Worth The Hype

As a beauty blogger, I try lots of different products. Not just because I like spending money (I like that a lot) but because I want to find the best of the best. Try what other people love and see how it works for me and how it could work for you. But there is a lot of hype within the beauty community and it can be difficult to see what is good and what isn't. So here's some of those hyped up products that are worth the attention and should be on your wishlist.

First up is one of the first products I tried when I started getting into skincare and that's the good old Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. An overnight, hydrating mask that makes my skin feel like it's had 8 glasses of water before bed the night before. I use this a couple of times a week as I just love how nourished my skin feels.

What good would a makeup junkie do without any brushes? Good quality brushes don't have to cost an arm and a leg. The Real Techniques Brushes are a great price, available from the drugstore and work just as well as higher end brushes like Sigma or MAC. They have brush sets for travel, the essentials, and even limited edition brushes. Check out my brush guide HERE

Another skincare product that I believe is worth its £20 price tag is the Kiehls Avocado Eye Treatment. Eye creams aren't at the top of every 22 year olds shopping list but it certainly helps with things like how concealer looks when you use an eye cream. This is one of those eye creams where you can tell a difference even after a few uses. It's creamy, hydrating, sinks in fast and is perfect under makeup.

The last skincare item is a recent purchase of mine but I have tried it quite a bit and I think it's amazing. The Glam Glow Face Masks were originally a Hollywood secret between makeup artists but when they were released to the public, everyone went crazy for them and they have grown and grown. I have the SuperMud mask but I am keen to try the others too. But this one is such a great treatment for troublesome skin like breakouts. What I really like about this is that it can be used as an all over face mask, but also just as a spot treatment. Once it dries, you will see all the gunk it's pulled out of your skin, wash off and your skin will be baby soft and blemishes will be banished.

Benefit Porefessional is a silicone based pore perfecting primer. This stuff is the shizz. It Smoothes over your skin to create a perfect base for whatever makeup you are applying over top. It's easy to use, suitable for everyday and does a great job at keeping your makeup on all day.

Another makeup application tool that was blown up in the beauty world and rightly so, is the Beauty Blender. This makes applying and blending foundation or concealer a doddle. Simply dampen, squeeze out all of the water you can and then bounce over your face to blend in your foundation. Use the pointed end for concealer around your eyes and it's done. It's effortless and I love effortless.

Speaking of foundation and concealer, this next one isn't just one product. It's a brand in particular. NARS gets a lot of hype, and I completely fell for it. So many good reviews, so many people's favourites. I just couldn't help it. But I fell in love with the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation and the Radiant Creamy Concealer, which you've heard me go on about far too much so enough said for those but the other products I've really been impressed with from them is the blushers and bronzer. Specifically Laguna Bronzer and the blushers that are in the holiday palette that was released (review should have been posted by now). Everyone has always said they are obsessed with the bronzer/blushers and it took me a while to cave, but I did, I took the plunge and it landed on my doorstep the next day. I am no obsessed.

Last makeup item is the Lorac Pro Eyeshadow Palette. This is a biatch to get hold of in the UK but it is definitely worth it. This was raved about for good reason. A row of mattes and a row of shimmers, both the best formula eyeshadows I have ever tried. A review will be up soon so keep an eye out if you want to see more about this palette.

I hope this has been insightful and I will be doing a products NOT worth the hype post shortly so I hope you keep a lookout for that.

Do you have any products NOT worth the hype?
