Monday Mani #24

I haven't done a proper Monday Mani for 2015 so I thought it was about time I got some more out there. But today I'm going to show you step by step how to get this design on your nails....

It's super easy and here's what you'll need...

Ciate Gold (first) || Collection White (second) || Maybelline Color Show Black (third) || Seche Vite Fast Dry Top Coat || Tweezers || Scotch Tape ||

How to:
1. Apply two coats of your base colour.
2. When base is dry, apply the lightening bolt shaped manicure guide diagonal across your nail making sure it's properly stuck down with no gaps and all sides down securely.
Optional. Once guide is stuck down, apply some scotch tape over your hand to remove the stickiness and place over one half of your nail - this is to stop any of the second colour from going onto the other half.
3. Using your second shade, apply this over one half of your nail, making sure that side is properly covered and is opaque enough.
4. Using your third polish, apply this over the other half of your nail. Again, making sure that side is properly covered and opaque enough.
5. Remove the manicure guide carefully using the tweezers, it can be quite difficult and can stick to your nail, so try and remove as fast as possible to make sure it will come off easily and keep the design in tact.
6. Apply your fast drying top coat over the design, making sure it is dry first to prevent smudging.

This design can be done on all nails, or as an accent, or a mix and match of designs using the same three shades. There are many different ways to wear this design, so get creative with it. Try different colour combos, even different manicure designs and see what you come up with.

Let me know what colour combos you try. Anyone who would like me to do your nails with any of the designs I feature in my posts then please give me a shout and I'd be happy to.

Will you be trying this manicure?

** I tried to do this design on my nails but I have just cut them so they weren't big enough to fit the design on so I hope the nail wheel is enough. I will grow my nails so that I can do this design and I will put it on Instagram.
