An intro to: Maxfactor

08:00

I've been noticing quite a lot of my everyday products are coming from Maxfactor so I thought I would run through the products I have and love and give you a bit of an introduction to the brand, just incase you haven't used much from them.

Incase you didn't know, Maxfactor is the UK version of the American brand Covergirl. You will see that many of the products that either brand comes out with, the other has something which looks completely identical, but maybe with slightly different names. I personally think Maxfactor has some great products that I use on a regular basis.

Face:
First off starting with the complexion products, the FaceFinity Primer is a great primer for the drugstore. It doesn't personally work that well for my skin but it's still a great alternative to try.
Next is the FaceFinity 3 in 1 Foundation (which is the UK version of Covergirl's Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation). As the name suggests, it's a 3 in 1 foundation, so it contains a primer, foundation and concealer all in one bottle. It's got great coverage, but the shade range sucks so I have to mix it as the lightest shade is far too pink toned, so I mix it with another more yellow toned foundation. It stays out for a long time though and it looks flawless on the skin.
Another Foundation that I'm a huge fan of from the brand is the Luminous Foundation. This is a fairly new release for Maxfactor and I've been loving it for a few months now. There's still the same issue with the shade range so I tend to mix it with the NARS Sheer Glow as together, applied with the Beauty Blender, the finish and lasting power is just perfect.
Finally for the face is the well loved Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Pink. It's a great drugstore offering for the cream blush trend and it's the perfect combination of creamy yet long lasting. It's not a cream to powder and it doesn't just stay wet on the skin. It's just the perfect formula which I was really surprised with as it's only drugstore.

Eyes:
Onto the eyes now and starting off with eye shadows is the ?? Eyeshadow Pots. I've only got 2 and these aren't something I use on a regular basis, but they are still great shadows and they are super easy to blend and last a very long time.
There's also the Excess Shimmer Cream Eyeshadows which are another new release to the brand, these came out in December I believe and they've really surprised me. They're not a standard cream formula, they're not quite a mousse and they certainly aren't liquid, they're just perfect. Don't get scared by the name. They are shimmery, however when applied on the lids, it's not as bad as you may expect. These things last all day. As in nearly 10 hours without creasing or smudging or anything. They stay put all day. You have about 30 seconds to play with them when you apply but after that they're there to stay. Amazing products, maybe even better than the Maybelline Color Tattoos
Finally is the first product I tried from the brand. The False Lash Effect Mascara. This is my favourite mascara ever. Covergirl has the Clump Crusher and Lash Blast which are highly rated in the states and I can see why.
I don't believe I've tried any brow products from Maxfactor, or any eyeliners, but I'm sure I will do at some point so I will let you know my thoughts on those.

Lips:
I am pretty sure I haven't tried many Maxfactor lip products. Infact I think it's only 1 which is the Lipstick in Cherry Kiss It's a really nice creamy formula which if you blot it, it can be quite a long wearing product.

Nails:
I've already done a Monday Mani on the Gel Shine Lacquer Polishes but I've recently tried out a couple of the GlossFinity polishes which I think are just as great. It's a brilliant formula, unique shades and they're affordable. My favourite is the Angels Nails, which is a pink/silver/metallic, sophisticated yet beautiful polish. I am very keen to try the other polishes they have to offer.

Have you tried any Maxfactor Products? What's your favourite?
