In Case of Emergency

14:12

Ever had those moments where you are in desperate need for a particular beauty product? Where bobby pins or hair ties are a necessity. Or a bright red spot has appeared on your face that needs covering. Frome deodorant to lip balm, this is my emergency beauty kit.

This kit can be kept in your handbag, in the car, next to your bed, it's just handy to have with you.

1. Hair - Having hair ties or bobby pins are always a regular occurrence for me as they go missing pretty much as soon as I buy them. So when I get a new pack, I shove about half of them in my emergency kit for that just in case, hair emergency that could happen, any time, anywhere. Having a comb or a little compact brush which has a mirror is something I cannot leave the house without.

2. Little Friend - The worst thing to happen when you're out and about, with friends or at work, is for a bright red beacon of a spot to appear on your face out of nowhere. No notice given, no time for preparation. Concealer is your best friend. I like to have a high coverage concealer like the MAC Studio Fix on hand for such occasions, as it covers everything and it's so small it doesn't take up a lot of room.

3. Hands & Nails - Hand sanitizer and hand cream is a must for me. It goes where I go. No explanation needed for this one really. Wipes and tissues are also a good alternative. With having reasonably long square-ish nails, it happens, more times than I'd like, that I catch the side of my nail and the corner breaks off. If I don't realise this, I then end up scratching myself. So a nail file is also must.

4. Lips - It's the winter, which means dry chapped lips are a regular issue for many people. A nourishing lip balm is always good to have to hand. The Balmi Lip Balm in Raspberry is my current favourite. This is nourishing, and stays on the lips for a long time so I don't have to worry about it too much.

5. Health - Tablets & Snack - I have to take tablets a lot during the day and I've forgotten them on too many times so now I take them with me everywhere. Paracetamol is also a must have incase a sudden headache strikes or someone else needs them. I also like to keep a snack bar of some kind with me incase I get slightly light headed as I have a habit of forgetting to eat and then get so hungry and my blood sugar drops. Snack bars = yummy in ma tummy. Plasters are also a good thing to have just in case a blister pops up or for obvious reasons (i.e. wanting to look like Nelly and put plasters on your face - I think it was Nelly anyway?).

Do you have an emergency kit in your car or bag? What's in it?
