Drugstore going out makeup look

I thought I would do a drugstore makeup look for this holiday season. I tend to use lots of higher end products but I do have some faves from the drugstore. All the brushes I will be using will be Real Techniques.

For primer I just used the Garnier Miracle Blur for Eye but around my eyes and then the Maxfactor Face Finity Primer and put that on the troublesome areas which is the centre of my face and chin.
As I like glowing skin and pretty full coverage, I mix the Maxfactor luminising foundation with the Revlon Colorstay to get the perfect shade and finish and I apply that first with my Real Techniques Buffing Brush and then with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge
For concealer I use the Soap & Glory Concealer & Corrector Palette everyday anyway so I use the pinky shade to cover my dark circles and the normal yellow-y shade for any redness or blemishes peaking through. I like to highlight and brighten around my eyes using the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer. I set under my eyes with the Soap & Glory Powder and also set any areas I put the concealer to hide the blemishes. This is a going out look so you need to make sure you set the areas that may crease or fade or anything like that and this powder is great for that. It's thin but it sets it in place without being cakey or looking too powdery. It's perfect.

Now for the fun part. Adding some colour and extra glow. I've redisocevered the Sleek Contouring & Blush Palette so I've been using that non stop. Although the bronzer looks quite dark and orange (especially to any other fellow Casper twins) it actually looks a lot more natural on the skin so I've been using the bronzer to add some warmth and lightly contour, a tiny bit of the blush on the cheeks (it's very shimmery so I only add a tiny amount) and then add the highlighter on to the cheekbones and that's the complexion done.

I've discovered the importance of a defined brow. I'm currently growing my brows out so I can get them done properly to get the right shape. So for now I lightly define them with the Soap & Glory Archery Pencil & Brush in Hot Chocolate and then set them with a bit of the Maybelline Brow Drama. I like to keep the brows pretty natural but add a bit of colour to any sparse areas.

For the eyes, I've been loving the Maxfactor Excess Shimmer in Copper for all over the lid and I then use some of the bronzer from before in the crease to define it. The Maxfactor pots have a unique mousse-y feel to them and are very soft and creamy to apply. They blend in amazingly and then after about a minute, they set and they stay for good, which is just what you need for an evening out.

It wouldn't be a going out look without winged liner so I've recently started using the Maybelline Master Precise Liner which my favourite that I've used so far. Add some black kohl liner to the top waterline, and bottom if you like. A few coats of the Bourjois Volume Glamour Max Holidays and that's the eyes done too.

I've been trying out a few different lip products recently but the one I will be using in this makeup look is the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet in Frambourjoise. This is a great matte lip product that still leaves a slightl slip to your lips, so it doesn't make them feel really dry and resembling a prune. There's some amazing bold shades in this range and they work just as well as the more nude ones so I'm a massive fan of thesel

When everything is done and all makeup is on, I like to go in with the NYX Dewey Finish Setting Spray to lock everything in place all night.

That's my drugstore going out look done for you. I hope this helps you and if you have any other recommendations for long lasting lip colours, please let me know as I'm trying lots out for an upcoming post.
