Post Party Beauty Detox


I really hope everyone had an awesome Christmas yesterday. Today's it's Boxing Day so we're a continuing the festivities with family but I thought I would put this up just in case anyone is feeling a tad delicate this morning after too much eggnog and mulled wine yesterday.

If you're hung over, or just tired from all the celebrations the last few days, here are a few tips to help you feel a bit better for today. Whether you're going to hit the Boxing Day sales, spend time with family, or just having a chilled day, there's something for everyone. 
As much as everyone loves the Christmas parties, over indulging on chocolate and a lovely Christmas dinner, your skin can look a tad worse for wear. So I'm going to give you my tips on some restorative beauty therapy to revive your complexion between parties and give you some post party skin-savers.

First up is detox and whether you've had some late nights, or simply been out having a few too many seasonal celebration drinks, your skin and body still needs you to take care of it between those celebrations and here's som easy ways to do it.

1. Drink lots of water - Wveryone always says it but it really does work. Have a huge glass of water before you go to bed and when you wake up the next morning, to rehydrate yourself. Add a squeeze of lemon to your water as citrus helps to flush out toxins if you've over indulged.

2. Load up on healthy food - Veggies and fruit are the easiest way to get vitamins and antioxidants into your system, even if you do just want to munch on chocolate all the time. What you eat is reflected on your skin, so the more healthy foods you eat, the better your complexion will be. 

When you've had a heavy night drinking or if it's just a late one, your skin will show it in the morning. So these are the main points I focus on. 

3. Tired skin is lack lustre skin - Applying a hydration mask is the quickest and easiest way to give your skin some moisture and it will really perk up the skin. Plus it's the best way to get your complexion ready for yet another party. Your face isn't the only skin that can be tired and dull. Whilst you have your hydration mask on, soak in a sea salt bath soak which helps to pull out toxins from your body and soothe any tired muscles. Then apply your favourite holiday scented moisturiser.

4. Add a serum - For healthier and brighter skin. Packed with antioxidants, vitamins and plant extracts, serums penetrate to deeper levels of the skin which is perfect for a post party pick me up.
