2014 Birchbox VS Glossybox

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and had lots of fun with your family and friends.
I thought I would do a battle of the beauty boxes for 2014 for today's post.

Birchbox and Glossybox are two subscription boxes where you pay a tenner a month and they send you a box with some samples and sometimes full size products. What's great is you are introduced to new brands and try lots out, without spending a lot of money. Plus, it comes to you direct, you don't
have to traipse around looking for items from different brands. I'm going to show you the monthly boxes that were based around a specific there, such as the Glossybox Pop Art or Karen Millen, whilst Birchbox had a Lulu box as well as a Cosy at Home, just to name a few. The themed months are great fun and different...

...aren't the Glossybox boxes adorable?

I love the Birchbox themed boxes too as you often get makeup bags with them.

Anyway, I'm going to go through the items I've loved most from each box and whoever has the most at the end will be the winner for 2014 and my favourite subscription box. Let's go.
As I've had my Glossybox subscription longer, I'll start with them...

Glossybox 6 boxes 10 products
Birchbox 7 boxes 14 products

I thought there would be more between that but clearly not. Birchbox have own by 1 box and 4 products. Overall I've looked forward to Birchbox, but Glossybox do still come in with some good products sometimes. Just not complete boxes.
Only thing I'm really not happy about with Glossybox is that I've received boxes with products missing, and broken stuff (like in Decembers box) and they've never contacted me back to arrange replacements or anything even though I've emailed them and tweeted them. The boxes themselves from Glossybox were lovely and I've kept pretty much all of them as they come in really handy, so I really like that about those but the products are just a bit blah.

If you have any beauty subscription box recommendations then please do let me know. I may cancel my Glossybox subscription and go elsewhere or stick to just Birchbox. We shall see.

What's your favourite products from this years Glossybox or Birchbox?
