The Weekly Round Up #48

First week of November done. Ahhh.

I've quite a few favourites this week, most of which is makeup. As I've been switching up my routine to try some other products, as last month I used the same products every single day and although I still love those,in have other things to use too. So here we go...

Starting off with the Sali Hughes Pretty Honest book. This was in last weeks favourites but I've actually finished the book now and I think it's an amazing read for anyone who is interested in beauty. She gives great tips and information and I really loved it.

Now onto the make up favourites, first is cream highlighters and blushers. I feel like I've been looking quite powdery recently and I've lost the glow that I used to have with my makeup (could be down to the weather change now that we're in autumn) so I've switched back to cream products to give a nice dewey finish and I've been loving it. Some of my faves are the Topshop Glow in Polished as well as the Kryolan Highlighter Cashmere and for blush, the Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 and the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush are obviously the ones I would reach for again. Still love them, still think they're amazing and I've been much preferring the look they give.

For extra glow, I've gone back to using the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm, I just apply this on my cheeks before my foundation and I've been really loving it. This is used as part of my primer duo for the skin, which goes along with the Kiehls Micro-Blur Skin Perfector Primer that I am loving right now. It smooths out the skin, and is basically the same as the Benefit Porefessional but it's about half the price.

With it being all about the glow, the Famous Baked Bronzer has been by bronzer of choice to warm up my complexion and it has a sheen to it which looks stunning on the cheeks. This looks particularly nice with the Benefit Sun Beam as a highlight on the cheekbones as it's all very golden and warm. I don't think you can get Famous products anymore but you may be able to find it on Amazon or eBay

There will be a post very soon all about my favourite brushes, but this week I've switched up my concealer brush for the Real Techniques Contour Brush which just blends concealer in beautifully. I do have to go over it with the Beauty Blender but I really like how easy and quick it blends in.
I've been trying out the Real Techniques Duo Fibre Brush Kit too and I've been really loving them for lots of different purposes, they're so soft and just as good quality as the rest of the collection and I think these blend products so well, they're really good quality and for the price I think they're amazing. I highly recommend picking these up if you can get your hands on them. They have 2 face brushes, Face Brush and the a Contour Brush and 1 eye blending brush called, funnily enough, the Eye Brush. Go check them out if you're a fan of the rest of the collection.

I have some eyeshadow faves this month too and I was sent these MeMeMe Eyeshadows in the shades Cafe and Syrup. They're great quality, quite pigmented and really nice and shimmery. They do last pretty much all day on the lids but only when I wear a primer or some sort of base, but I normally do anyway so it's not an issue.
The Natural Collection Shadow in Willow is still a favourite. I've been wearing it all over my lid most days and I just really love the colour. It's the perfect amount of pigmented, and I love the finish if it too. These tend to crease very quickly so a base is a must have with this too.
There's a few shades in the Lorac Pro that I use on an almost everyday basis which is Taupe, Nude and Pewter. I think you probably know how much I love this palette and these are the shades I have been using this week and they're really great shades and look good in a look together.
There's another palette I've been trying out this week and it's the Bobbi Brown Soho Chic Eye Palette, and I've been loving the shades Cement (top middle) and Grey Pearl (bottom left corner). They're amazing shades, blend really nicely and this is the first time trying Bobbi Brown eyeshadows and I'm really impressed.

Finally for the eyes is Maybelline Color Tattoos, in particular the Leather Effect in Chocolate Suede, I'm not one for wearing dark smokey eyes so I actually got this to use as liner either just smudged out, or as a brown winged liner, and I am really loving the look of both of these. I wanted to try something different to black as it's very harsh against my uber pale skin and this shade of brown is perfect. Love it.

For the last product it this weeks round up is a skincare item. I finally got the Oskia Perfect Cleanser and oh golly gosh it's delightful. It makes my skin so soft and smooth and it's hydrating and makes my skin just feel incredible. I'm sure you'll see a review soon.

Starting on Monday, I have something really exciting happening here on my blog. I'll be honest, it hasn't gone quite as I had planned but anyway. I'm having 3 beauty bloggers appear on my blog this week. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. My normal uploading days, and there's some really cool posts. All links to their blogs and social media will be on the posts so go over and show them some love and I hope you like it.
