A Lauren Conrad inspired look

10:34

The Lily Collins inspired makeup look I did quite a while ago, went down really well so I thought I would do a different look inspired by the lovely Lauren Conrad. As much as I wish I looked like her, I don't, but that won't stop me from trying. So here's the inspiration photos...

... Let's get started...

Flawless Skin:
I always moisturise and apply my primers before any makeup goes near my face and the ones I'm loving at the minute is the Kiehls Micro Blur Skin Perfector and the Clarins Beauty Flash Balm so then it's time for foundation.
Lauren's base is pretty darn flawless (as always) so I used the NARS Sheer Glow Foundation mixed with a bit of the Maxfactor Luminising Foundation?? which together, gives a really nice coverage whilst giving a radiant glow to the skin.

Perfect Artistry:
I'm going to leave my base for now and move onto that completely flawless eyeliner artistry. I start by using the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner to get the wing outlined and then I go in and finish it off and to make the liner super black and opaque. I've made the line slightly thicker than normal and also extended the wing slightly to be similar to LC's. I ran a little bit or bronzer through my crease to define it a little and with a quick curl of the lashes and lashings of mascara on top and bottom, it's time for the brows.
Lauren's brows aren't very bold and thick but they are defined and filled in and look pretty natural so to get a similar look, I first used the Soap & Glory Archery Pencil to fill in any sparse areas and define the brow and then I go in with the Benefit Gimme Brow to give some texture and set them in place.

Back to the start:
Going back to the base, I first apply the pinky tone corrector from the Sleek Corrector & Concealer Palette 01 to counteract the darkness under my eyes and then using the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer to cover my dark circles and also to cover any blemishes or redness. I used a tiny amount of the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Highlighting Concealer just to add a slight highlight under my eyes, on my forehead and on my chin just to balance it all out. I then applied some of the Famous Baked Bronzer to warm up my complexion and it has a really nice sheen which adds to the glowing complexion. I am a huge fan of contouring, even if it's only a little bit so I used the NYX Taupe Blush for a natural and soft contour. For blush, I used the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blusher in Dollface to add a natural flush to the cheeks without being over powering. A light dusting of the Seventeen Shimmer Brick in Pink Bronze on the cheekbones, inner corner of the eye, brow bone and anywhere else you like/need to highlight and the complexion is done. Finally.

Perfect Pout:
For that nude lip I am keeping it really simple with the Maybellin Color Drama in Keep it Classy but the Revlon Colourburst Lacquer Balm in Demure or the Soap & Glory Matte Lipstick in Blush Pink would work just as well. These are my favourite nude shades at the minute.

But if a red lip is more to your liking, the Sleek Matte Me in Rioja Red is a stunning, long lasting, matte red shade which goes on as a gloss then sets in place for hours. If you can't get hold of Sleek makeup, then the Rimmel Colour Rush in The Redder The Better or even just the Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liner in Red Diva works just as well and is super long lasting. These 3 just give the perfect red lip.

As always, head over to my Instagram to see how this look, looks on my face.
