A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #45

I hope you have enjoyed Organic & Natural Beauty Week here on my blog and I hope it has inspired you to try some products to make your routines both quicker, and more effective that you may not currently use.

This week I've found a few combinations of products that are really working for me. From brows to cheeks. It's what I've been wearing everyday and I love each and every product. So here goes.

Starting with the eyes, there's a few shadows that I've been going to the most this week which is the Rimmel Smokey Quartz, the Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Willow And from the Lorac Pro PalettePewter and Mauve are my most used shades. At least one of these 4 shades has been used everyday and I think each is very different in formula and performance yet I really like each of the for those reasons.

I've seen the Maybelline Brow Drama become very popular, as it's only just launched in the states and so I've seen a lot of my favourite beauty bloggers talking about it, so I dug mine back out and I've been loving it. I've found the perfect way to use it too, well, I read somewhere how people had been using it so I think it's actually the right way anyway, but... I start by coming my brows backwards, against the natural growth to cover the hairs in the product, then I brush them back down and sculpt them. It's been really working and I love it. Especially over the Soap & Glory Archery Pencil which is also something I have rediscovered and have been loving it. This combo is awesome.

For lip products, the berry, darker shades have made an appearance and I'm starting off subtle and I'm working my way up the bold-ness/darkness scale. Some of my favourites are the Revlon Sultry Matte Balm, Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss in Raplumzel and the Soap & Glory Matte Lipstick in Pom Pom. These are all great formulas, beautiful shades, and go well with any eye look.

Another combo of products that I have worn everyday this week is the The Body Shop Honey Bronzer + NYX Taupe Blush + Tarte Blush in Exposed (but Dollface looks stunning too) + The Balm Mary Lou-Manizer. This just equals the perfect combination for the cheeks. I'm still loving my base combo too, NARS Sheer Glow + Maxfactor Luminizing + Beauty Blender + NYX Dewey Finish Setting Spray

So it's been a while since I've included a TV series but this week, it's been all about the CIA series, Covert Affairs. It's got some average story lines, terrible special effects, but there's some hotties in there that just make it so much better. It's a pretty good cast all round really, but I don't think I like it more than Hawaii 5-0 or The Unit, or even Fringe. There's a guy called "Auggie" Christopher Gorham who is so sweet, smart and incredible handsome, that I a pretty certain he is the only reason I watch this still. Him, and the hotties that line up for the main character "Annie Wilson" aka Piper Perabo like Ben or on real life Eion Bailey and Eyal Lavine real name Oded Fehr.

What else happened this week?

This week, I dyed my hair a deep mahogany colour. I love this shade for the autumn and winter and my hair was very much due to be dyed again. I am really loving this colour and will be keeping it for a little while I think.

This week was a very sad week, as I no longer have my Alpha H liquid Gold and I purchased the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads to replace them and give them a try as I'd heard loads of great things about them. After the first few uses, my skin started to break out. It's not bad, there's one on my forehead and a few on my chin. The only reason I am mentioning this is because my skin has been really good recently and I haven't had any spots in months. So I think I will be repurchasing the Liquid Gold and just rotate between that and these pads. I'm really annoyed my skin has broken out and I wish I just repurchased LG in the first place but I wanted to try something else. I cannot be 100% certain that it was these that broke me out, maybe it's just a coincidence, but the Liquid Gold has just kept my skin in such an amazing condition, I'm just going to go back to that.

Have you tried the FAB Radiance Pads?
