A Feature: August Favourites

This month has been a tad cray, but it's the end of August and I can't believe I'm saying this, but it's 4 months until Christmas. Argghhhh. Where's 2014 gone?

Kicking of this months faves I'm going to start with some jewellery. Statement necklaces are a massive thing and for good reason. My current faves are...

...aren't they so pretty. I have also been wearing lots of little, simple necklaces but layering them so wearing 2 or 3 at a time. These ones are all from H&M except the one with my name on, that is form EBay, super cheap yet it's very good quality and they have loads of names available. I love how these all look on their own, but together? A. Mazing...

...There are some jewellery monthly subscription boxes so I'm going to have a look into that and see what I can find.

Onto makeup and the Real Techniques Brushes have become an everyday tool in my makeup application. These brushes are so affordable and such good quality. Anyone who does makeup, needs to go and get their hands on some RT brushes before they can really say they love makeup. They're just awesome. This month I've got my hands on some of the eye brushes which came in a set as well as other face brushes and I am completely sold.

I've had a few breakouts and some scary dark circles and the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer has been there for me no matter what. No matter how bad it god, this is the product that got me through. Love it. Totally obsessed and I will repurchase that for as long as I can. Love it (did I already say that?)

My eye makeup has been pretty boring this month in that it's been the same pretty much everyday. The Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette has become an everyday staple for me and the Rimmel Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Black has also been a must have. Whether it's a smudgey liner look or lining my bottom waterline, this little pencil has been a life saver in helping me look a little more alive and a little less like a zombie.
As for brows. The Revlon Brow Fantasy has been the brow product of choice recently and the gel in particular is the best part of the brow sculpting duo.

As for the hair department, there's been a couple of products I've reached for lately. The Tresemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo and the V05 Dry Texturising Spray. Both of these have been a total lifesaver with my unruly barnet.

Onto the TV series of the month and there's been two that I've really been able to sink my teeth into and the month started off with 3 seasons of the wonderful Hawaii 5-0 which I thoroughly loved and recommend. Next is Castle which is about a writer and an NYPD Detective who go out and solve homocides whilst trying to hide their fondness of each other. (Spoiler alert, they don't do it very well).

There's plenty more posts coming up in September so subscribe to the email and be one of the first to know whenever I put up any posts. As of now, posts will be going up every Monday, Wednesday and Friday and at least one at the weekend. I hope I can stick to to schedule and that it makes it easier to keep track of when the posts will be going live.

What have you been loving this month? Any recommendations?
