A Beauty Essential: Summer 2014 Beauty Trend (3)
14:20
I know I have already posted one today but that should have gone up yesterday but due to technical issues I couldn't. So here is day three or beauty trend week here on IABT. Enjoy.
3. A Pop Of Colour:
Products: Maybelline Colour Tattoos in Metallic Pomegranate & Everlasting Navy // Rimmel Scandaleyes in Purple // Estée Lauder Palette Waves Duo //
This one has been very popular among the beauty community and there are so many different ways to approach this trend. The approach I am going to take is focusing mainly on a subtle pop of colour, nothing too crazy and intense but gives a little, pizazz to the everyday makeup look. Now there are many different ways to do this. Bright and colourful winged liner, or a colourful shadow or eyeliner along the bottom lash line - which is my preferred method. This gives a more summery, colourful and fun look and is something different from just black or brown.
4. Bronze, glowing skin:
If there's one thing I love, it's glowing skin. Throw in some bronze-y goddess-ness and I'm all yours. Bronze skin was never something I was particularly bothered about having. I've always been uber pale so the desire to add something I didn't naturally have seemed bizarre to me. But in essence that is the point of makeup and it is a confidence thing to most, if not all people who wear it. For the purposes of this summer trend, I have got my bronze goddess game on.
Products: Soap & Glory Solar Powder // St Tropez Gradual Tanner // Soap & Glory Glow Job // The Body Shop Honey Bronzer // Bourjois Bronzing Powder // Famous Baked Bronze // Seventeen Shimmer Brick // Benefit Sun Beam //
There are many ways you could go about this trend. From adding bronze illuminators into your foundation. Using more of a shimmery bronzer rather than a matte one. Or it starts right before makeup, at the skincare stage. The above photos are my favourite products to use for this particular trend and I really like how my skin looks when I do the whole bronze, glowing, contoured look. Very summery, and very flattering on even those of us who are ridiculously pale.
What's your favourite beauty trend this year?
