The Weekly Round Up #29

16:00

It's weekly round up time again, and although June favourites are just around the corner (tomorrow actually) I still wanted to include this post. June favourites are what I have been loving for June, and weekly faves are what I'm been loving over the last 7 days, which some of those items may have only be used in the last week of the month. So anyway, now the long intro is out of the way (and possibly unnecessary) let's take a look at the last 7 days favourites.

Starting off with probably the main thing that has been used out of everything, is the Burts Bees Nourishing Mango Lip Butter. This little tube of mango goodness also has coconut oil, mango (obvs) and beeswax (again, obvs) which makes it so nourishing (wow, stating the obvious Soph). But this not only smells amazing, but it really does moisturise your lips. Although I still use my forever loved Nuxe Rev De Miel, this is so easy to just throw in your bag and go. Totally love it. That was far too much over a lip balm. I apologise.

Next is onto something that I never, NEVER thought I would be using never mind liking and it being a favourite. But the Tarte Brazilliance Self Tanner is such an amazing self tanner for my pasty white skin and doesn't leave me looking too orange, fake, blotchy or just odd, I don't apply a huge amount though. Being so pale, any contrast of colour is going to stand out like a sore thumb (never understood that phrase). But starting off with a little and building if needed, has given me a seamless gradual tan without any mishaps... Yet.

I've been quite into the whole tanning and bronzing lark and with the clear out of my makeup stash, I found this little gem. The Famous Baked Bronzer is something a friend gave me last year, and let me tell you this stuff is stunning. Again on my pale skin I have too be careful as it can look a tad too much. But when applied correctly, it gives a stunning bronze glow which I didn't realise I was that bothered about until now.

Now that the sun is out and the hot weather is here, it was only a matter of time before I got a loose setting powder. The NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder came to about 3.99 (I think) and does exactly what I need it to. I just use it to set my forehead, chin and nose and I'm good to go. Although we had a bit of a disagreement when I first opened it - and got powder all over my dressing table and my makeup, so everything had to be cleaned - I have really liked using a loose powder again. Brings back those teenage/year 10 days.

My skin has been going completely doolally and had a bit of a freak out (oh hormones I hate you) so a higher coverage concealer has been needed and the Vichy Dermablend Foundation/Concealer Stick is an old favourite but it really does work. The Dermablend range from Vichy is truly outstanding. The cost, the coverage and the confidence that this product gives speaks for itself. I highly recommend picking up something from this line if you have issue with covering any imperfections.

The Soap & Glory UltiMelt Cleanser is such a thick cream, luxurious feeling cleanser and I have used this pretty much every night this week. It's so relaxing to massage it into your skin. I used to apply these cleansers in the bath so I could relax but with a shower it's a tad more difficult but it still feels nice on my skin. I haven't been using it long enough to fully recommend it to you but for a drugstore product, it's pretty good so far. As for all of the products from Soap & Glory.

As for hair products, I have reached a lot for the V05 Give Me Texture Dry Texturising Spray, which does as it says, and gives a boost to your hair when it's looking a bit lifeless and flat. For a drugstore product, this is really good, and it doesn't have any hold to it so there's no crunchy feeling.

I'm not one to really watch tele anymore, so Netflix and Lovefilm is where I watch most films and TV shows. There has been a few this month that I have loved, but for this week Under the Dome and The Visitors TV Series's has had me hooked. Even better. Season 2 of Under the dime is out 39th of June. So unbelievably excited. It's gripping stuff. As for The Visitors, if you like alien invasions, crazy bitches, or even just love TV, these will both have you hooked.

Hope you liked today's post and this weeks theme of Summer Ready. Tomorrow is the last day and then Monday sees the end of another month. Just less than 6 months to Christmas. Oh my goodness. Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and be sure to check back tomorrow to see how I got ready for a work ball, and what I wore etc.

What's your favourite self tanner?
