A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #28

12:00

I try really hard not to include things more than once in any of my favourites posts but sometimes I love a product so much I just can't help it, so I apologise in advance. This makes it easier for me at the end of the month to look back and see which products have really stood out to me. As always, I'm going to go through some of my products that have just been amazing this week and again I apologise if they have been in previous ones, it just means I love them so much.

1. I haven't mentioned this for a very long time and to be honest I kind of stopped using it for a little while. But I have recently started using the L'Oreal EverRiche Conditioner  again and I cannot believe how much it's helped my hair. It's given my hair a really nice healthy shine which I didn't realise was missing until I started using this again. It is quite a thick conditioner but I like that about it as my hair is quite damaged and dry so this has been working wonders. I also really like the mask from the same line too which gives a really nice softness to the hair. Plus, this range smells amazing and I love that I can still smell it in my hair for days after.

2. The Soap & Glory Scrubatomic hasn't made it into a favourites post yet but my goodness this stuff is amazing. I actually bought this as part of my face scrub testing that I'm currently doing and I saw Fleur from Fleur de force saying how much she loved it so I thought I would pick it up as it was on sale at the time too. I read reviews online before purchasing as I always do, and some of them said it didn't do anything for them and that it was a pointless scrub etc. but I really wanted to try it out for myself and I'm so glad I did. This one is a really good, gentle exfoliator. No harsh particles, but they are very tiny so they give you a very polished feeling once you rinse it off plus, it smells like peach. It says it also foams up but I haven't seen that and I'm glad. It doesn't dry my skin out and it also says it has skin brightening properties to it which I am all for. But this makes my skin so smooth and soft, and I have really noticed a difference with my skin, from the smooth texture when applying my skincare, to how flawless my foundation looks with no dry patches for it to cling to. I am super impressed with this one and I think a manual scrub for my face is what my skin really needs and likes. I'm still going to be trying others scrubs out so keep an eye out for that post next month maybe, but for now this one is a brilliant option and is affordable too.

3. A blush I have found myself using a lot recently is the Bourjois Cream Blush in 03. This gives a really nice sheen to the skin, has the perfect glow but sets really well on my skin and stays put for a long time (which is rare with my skin as blush just wears off so quickly). I apply this with a round top kabuki style blush as I find this the best way to apply this particular product and I just love the look it gives. A very subtle option for when you want your skin to be looking it's best but don't want to distract away from the main feature of the look. Again, another affordable product which is a must have in my everyday makeup drawer.

4. Louise Young Super Foundation Brush, I mentioned this in last weeks post but I just love this brush so much. It blends in foundation so easily and so fast it takes no time at all now. It gives a really nice finish, doesn't leave any streaks or brush marks and is the only foundation brush I have used, every single day. This thing really is a super foundation brush, it's worth every penny and I highly highly HIGHLY recommend it. Definitely going to be checking out some more of the brushes from Louise Young

5. From my Glossybox I have been totally obsessed with the Roger&Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau Frâiche Fragrance. It think the reason I like it so much is because it's not something I have in my little perfume selection but I just love the scent. I'll let the professionals describe the scent...
"The fresh and indulgent scent of Eau Fraiche Fleur de Figuier radiates light and opulence. The sensorial accord of fig pulp is first enhanced by a hint of caraway and the freshness of grapefruit. The fragrance notes of crisp fig leaves then reveal themselves as they blend with those of mandarin blossom. Finally, the sensuality of musk and fig wood provides a sensation of delightful & relaxing well-being. Naturally irresistible."
In all honestly, I don't quite understand the while water spray thing, but this stuff smells amazing that I just don't care. It's quite a pricey little thing at £32 for a 100ml bottle but this bottle is going to last a while I think. That is what I love about Glossybox, there was 5 brands I didn't know existed and now I am totally obsessed with one of them.

6. Next is something I remember having when I was in my teens, at secondary school which is the NYC Smooth Skin Translucent Loose Powder. This made a complete mess when I tried to open it and it went everywhere so I had to take everything out of the drawer on my dressing table and clean everything down. I was not impressed at all. But once I had got that sorted and was finally able to try the product I really like it. I have to be careful not to apply too much as I prefer quite a fresh, dewey looking complexion but I just lightly dust this over the areas that can get a bit shiny or where makeup wears away first and this has done a really good job. Plus it's £2.99 from Superdrug.

7. The Maybelline Gel Liner has made creating a wing so easy and fast I've had loads of time to spare in the morning. I apply it with an angled brush and it's so ridiculously easy if you have any issues with applying eyeliner on the top lash line, get this stuff.

8. When I purchased the L'Oreal False LashTelescopic Mascara, I thought I would be so amazingly impressed with it. And I am. It adds a lot of definition and the wand is a perfect size and shape to really get into the root of the lashes and wiggle the brush to get some definition and volume. I don't think this is the waterproof one which I do tend to go for so will definitely be picking that one up soon. But I think this is really good and definitely worth giving a try.

9. I also mentioned the Garnier 5 Sec Blur Eye Cream last week as the NARS Concealer and this are doing some amazing things for my eyes. I have used this everyday when I apply my face primers, I put this on, under my eyes, on my eyes and basically the whole eye area. It does a ally see it's a smoothing perfecting primer and it's amazing. I highly recommend this. It doesn't cause concealer to crease, settle in to fine lines, and eyeshadow doesn't crease or budge at all. I'm very keen to try the face primer version once my Benefit Primer has ran out. If that does as much as this eye cream does, it's going to save me a lot of money and just be awesome. I recommend this so much and if you have any issues with makeup around your eyes, pick this up and give it a go. Just make sure you cleanse your face properly to remove it.
