A Weekend Post: The Weekly Round Up #27

So, day 6 of Bare & Bold Week and I've loved every single part of it. I love the makeup looks I've worn, I love posting the looks on Instagram rather than just on my website, and I have also loved trying some different products.

I still love each and every item from last weeks round up I just didn't want to repeat any, but I have got some new things that I've been sent to try and these are the ones I've been loving. But be prepared, there's a lot. Again.

1. The combo I have been trying and loving on the quest to cover my dark circles is the Garnier 5 Sec Perfect Blur Eye Cream and the NARS Creamy Concealer in Chantilly. I love these as the eye cream acts as a primer and smooths everything out under my eyes and the concealer has really good coverage and does a pretty darn good job of covering the darkness. Totally in love with this duo. I may have found the perfect concealer. Maybe.

2. Some Soap & Glory products now, and for makeup, I have been loving the Soap & Glory Matte Lipstick in Pom Pom. I didn't actually realise they had matte lipsticks but this is a really nice colour to even out the lips, give a bit of colour and isn't drying. All you could ever need in a matte lipstick. I've also been using the Make Yourself Youthful Sunshield Superfield SPF 50. My Neutrogena one is on it's last legs and I wanted to get something different. This one sinks in to the skin so quickly without leaving your face looking greasy or white or anything. It's amazing.
The One Heck Of A Blot Super-Translucent Mattifying Powder is a life saver at the minute with all this ridiculously hot weather. This has been setting my makeup and helping to keep it in place for as long as possible without melting off my deface with the heat that's in the UK at the minute. I wish the weather would make it's mind up.

3. What made Soap & Glory widely loved and highly recommended? Yep, the body products. I have been a fan for quite a while and now we have a shower I love them even more. I have the Foam Call Body Wash and the Flake Away Body Scrub. Both of which are amazing. I love how they smell, the traditional scent of Soap & Glory is unforgettable. The wash, lathers up well, smells amazing, and the scent lingers on your skin, especially when paid where the body butter/cream/lotion. As for the scrub, this one stays on even whilst in the shower. It some how's adheres to your skin so you can use it properly without it just getting washed off straight away. It's not too harsh or too gentle and it smells amazing. Soap & Glory is often on 3 for 2 so if you haven't tried it, well, 1. do you live under a rock, and 2. there's no excuse, get your butt down their quick.
I have been trying some other things from the Soap & Glory line recently, including some skincare and makeup products, but for now, these are my favourites and the ones I have used the most. Maybe the others will be in next weeks round up.

4. Two brushes that landed on my doorstep to try are the Real Techniques Setting Brush and the Louise Young LY34 Super Foundation Brush. The RT brush is so soft and fluffy and perfect for blending concealer especially round the eyes. I also use this to set any areas with powder. As for the LY34 brush, this was a Vivianna does makeup purchase, so thanks Anna. This is quite a big brush but it blends everything so easily and quickly but does it well and seamlessly.

5. A skincare product now and this has a use beauty following for a while and for good reason. The La Roche Posay Serozinc is not available to purchase in the UK unlike the other LRP products but it's definitely worth a browse on Amazon or eBay to see if you can find one. This is a zinc sulphate spray which I have notice has made a huge difference to the small, red, painful bums on my cheeks and I just love how soft my skin is since using this. I didn't realise it could get any softer and smoother.

6. Onto a new hair product now and my goodness I have been missing out this bottle of amazing-ness. The Living Proof Prime Styler was something I thought was overpriced and overrated as I had seen people recommend it before but a primer for your hair? What a joke. Oh I was sooooo wrong. This stuff is amazing. Even 2-3 day hair shows this stuff works. You apply onto damp hair and then style as normal. This is supposed to keep your hair do in place and looking amazing. Normally when I throw my hair up in a top knot, the next morning it's just wild and all over the joint. But not anymore. When I take down the top knot, my hair looks like it's been styled not just thrown up on the top of my head. Amazing. Definitely looking forward to using this more and seeing what else it can do.

7. So we all know how much I love the Garnier Beauty Oil, but I found the Garnier Oil Beauty Oil-Infused Nourishing Lotion ?? And holy moly this stuff is amazing. It's obviously a lotion texture rather than an oil and I like to put this on my arms and then the oil on my legs. It makes my skin so soft and I love the smell. Definitely worth it for the price.

8. Orange is the new black TV Series and Heroes on Netflix are the two shows I have been completely, COMPLETELY obsessed with. I have finished season 1 and 2 of OITNB and I'm on series 1 of heroes and my goodness they're both incredible. FYI, I've watched these in the last week, that's how addicted I've been to them.

** Disclaimer - these products are ones I have been using over the last week or so, so I cannot fully recommend all of them yet, however, so far, I really like them and think they are great. But I'm sure I'll post an update/review on these products. **
