A Beauty Chat: Bare & Bold #1 Pink lip

Bare and bold. Not normally two words you would see in the same sentence, but today, and all this week I'm going to show you some super easy looks that are bare AND bold. Plus, if you want to see how the makeup looks on, then check my Instagram everyday for each look. Let's get this started then.

A bold lip is the easiest and quickest way to make it look like you've spent hours getting ready, even when really you've just whacked some concealer on, a bit of mascara and a bright lipstick whilst running out the door. Here's a look that takes a bit longer than that but still looks really simple with that pop of colour on the lips.

Benefit Porefessional // Simple Kind To Skin Illuminating Cream ?? // Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer // Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer // NARS Sheer glow Foundation // MAC Studio Finish Concealer // Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Translucent Powder // The Body Shop Higlighter // The Body Shop Honey Bronzer // Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 // Soap & Glory Brow Archery // Maybelline Brow Drama // Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara // Matte Black Eyeshadow // Rimmel Scandaleyes Liner in Bronze //

We're going for a fresh and glowy complexion with this look, so I start with the Benefit Porefessional and then i'm using the Simple Illuminating Cream on the rest of the skin which gives a really nice glow. Then, using the Maybelline Instant Eye Eraser Brightening Concealer I apply a thin layer to slightly cover my dark circles, but don't worry, I will come back to this in a minute.
For foundation, my favourite at the minute is the NARS Sheer Glow, this gives a really nice and fresh looking glow but with a decent coverage and the shade is just perfect for me.
Back to the concealer now and I add another thin layer of the Maybelline Instant Eye Eraser Brightening Concealer to my dark circles which is really good at counteracting the darkness and then using the Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer to highlight and brighten too. Then with the MAC Studio Finish Concealer I then cover any blemishes or scars.
Onto adding some life back into my skin and first I apply The Body Shop Honey Bronzer and lightly bronze my skin slightly and then I go in with The Body Shop Highlighter just to add a subtle glow and keep it looking natural and fresh. Then, going back to an oldie but a goodie, the Bourjois Cream Blush in 03 which gives a nice sheen to the skin whilst giving a nice flush to the cheeks. I then use the Soap & Glory One Heck Of A Blot Translucent Powder and set the concealer under my eyes and also on any of the blemishes covered.

Complexion done, it's time for the brows and I have been loving the Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil in Brownie Points and I use the pencil end which gives a natural look and once the sparse areas are filled in, I go over them with the Maybelline Brow Drama to make sure those brows stay in place.
Keeping the eyes nice and natural, I just want to enhance them so I use a matte black eyeshadow on an angled brush and

Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Showy )
The only thing which is in the bold category is the lipstick and I'm using the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Showy which is such a stunning colour and really adds a brightness to your complexion which is always nice, especially if you're not feeling so glowing and awake.

Hope you like this look, and be sure to check back everyday this week to see some more bare and bold looks.
