5. Summer Ready Top 10 Under £10 Summer Essentials - Top picks #10

08:00

As part of Summer Week on my site, I thought I would do a top 10 under £10 summer essentials with some of my favourite, must have products. This is the same post as the guest post I did for LVBH Style but I wanted to add it on to my site too so I hope you find this helpful.

1. First things first, and the most important, protecting your skin from the sun. We all know the dangers and although when I was younger I used to say I didn't need sun cream, I now won't leave the house without it, and that's thanks to the Nivea Protect & Refresh Sun Screen SPF30 £8.00 currently half price, full price is £16.00 so if you want it, go get it now whilst it's under £10, it makes it so much easier and less hassle. This is a spray mist, which you spray on, rub in a little bit and you're good to go.

2. I'm not one for any self tanning type products on my body as because I'm so pale, it makes it look so orange and obvious I just can't stand using self tanners. That is until I found this one. The Dove Summer Glow Nourishing Lotion £2.49 is such a moisturising lotion and it's a gradual tanner so doesn't appear too harsh and orange on my super white legs.

3. A bit of a strange one but in the hot months (well all year round actually) it's important to make sure you are smelling fresh and this Sure Compressed Deodorant £2.10 is perfect for carrying in your bag or throwing in your beach bag as it's really easy to travel with as it's so small yet it has the same amount as a normal bottle which aren't as travel friendly. There are lots more companies that have these compressed deodorants so be on he look out for your favourite one.

4. Onto how we get those relaxed, beachy waves that everyone tries so hard to get, me included. But the Toni & Guy Casual Sea Salt Texturising Spray £7.19 is one of the best ones I have found, it doesn't make my hair crunchy and still allows my hair to move and be relaxed whilst adding that extra, much needed texture.

5. Back to the sun protection and from a freckle have-r (what?) I wear the Neutrogena Dry Touch Sunblock SPF30 £5.00-£10.00 every single day. It's lightweight, inexpensive, and non-greasy so just whack it on before makeup and you're protected from the sun. Just make sure you cleanse your skin really well to get it all off.

6. Avene Thermal Spring Water - £10.00 (300ml) is something I relied on a lot when I was younger, well not this one but another make but it was the same thing. Having spring water in a can means it's nice and refreshing and cool on your skin so I have mine in my bag or car and whenever I feel a bit too hot, or need a freshen up this is just perfect as it's just water so it won't interfere with your makeup either.

7. I am always looking for the products that will give me a radiant glow, and starting at skincare is the best place to start. I use the Superdrug Naturally Radiant Brightening Renewal Mask £4.99 once or twice a week and with the plant extracts it brightens and revives your complexion in 5-10 minutes. Plus this is so affordable there is no excuse not to give it a go.

8. The L'Oreal Lumi Magique Primer £9.99 has been pretty much the only primer I have used since I bought it. It gives a really nice glowy base that although it doesn't shine through quite as much through makeup, it still gives a really nice look to the skin and is also going to help your makeup stay on all day too. Bonus!

9. I couldn't do a summer essentials post without including something to keep your eyeshadow on and crease-free and is also a really easy one stop shop as a quick all over lid colour. Of course, it's the Maybelline Colour Tattoos £4.99 I believe there are I some new shades coming out this summer too so be sure to keep an eye out for those.

10. Finally, is the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner £3.99 which if you aren't familiar with (do you live in a hole?) are waterproof kohl eyeliners which are available in some lovely colours and these smudged along the top or bottom lash line, a simple way to add a pop of colour, or along the waterline, these are the perfect options. I even chose these over expensive eyeliners from the likes of MAC and I think these are just brilliant.

I hope you have enjoyed this post. Please let me know if you have any post requests as we're nearly at the end of June which means the weekly themes won't be every week now, but I will still do them here and there. So anyway, any requests let me know.

What are your Summer essentials?
