The Makeup Bag #6 The Drugstore Favourites Edition

Day 4 Of drugstore week here on IABT

Welcome back to It's a Beauty thing. Today is a drugstore makeup bag using the products mentioned in the Top 10 Under £10 Products Posts.

Face:
Kicking it off with preparing the skin, I start by applying the L'Oreal Lumi Magique Base all over the skin and then it's time for foundation. This particular day I had a few blemishes and redness so it called for the Revlon Colorstay Whipped Foundation, and although this particular formula isn't available in Boots and Superdrug you can get in online for less than a tenner. I just use a round top kabuki to apply this and I dab it on on the areas I have large pores or where a little extra coverage is needed. I don't apply a thick layer of this, I just apply a little more to the problem areas. Onto concealer now and it's time to battle those dark circles. First I go in with the Collection Phwoarr Pain Heavy Duty Concealer (this wasn't included but it is still an amazing drugstore concealer, especially for dark circles and stubborn redness from blemishes), I use this to correct the dark tones under my eyes and I then go in with the Rimmel Master Perfection Concealer to brighten and highlight the area a little more. Then using the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer for any blemishes that weren't fully covered with the foundation - I like to apply this by using a brush like this and dabbing on the concealer and then blend it in with my finger, and if I need anymore I can just add it on and repeat the step.

Cheeks:
Onto the cheeks now and because I'm going for a bold lip I want to keep the cheeks quite minimal so I start by warming up my face a little using the Bourjois Bronzing Powder and then I go in wigh the No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick in Classic Rose which adds a nice sheen to the cheeks and doesn't clash with the lip colour I will be using. Finally I finish the complexion off with a dab of the Instant Radiance Highlighter also by No7 which gives a natural glow to the skin with no signs of disco ball, shimmery-ness anywhere.

Brows:
Onto the brows, and I start by using the Collection Work The Colour Brow Kit and using the middle shade with an angled brush to fill them in, and I then use the Maybelline Brow Drama to add a little extra colour and set all the hairs in place.

Eyes:
There's nothing I like more than a bold lip and a winged eyeliner look, so I start by applying the Natural Collection Eyeshadow in Willow all over the lid and then using the shade Milk Chocolate to define the crease a little. Then using the Collection Extreme 24hour Liquid Liner to create the perfect wing and only going in about half way on the top lash line as this elongates the eye and makes it look super streamline if that's even a way to describe how an eye looks. Finally using the Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeliner in Black on the top waterline and a little bit of Taupe on the lower lash line it's time for mascara and using my all time favourite, the Maybelline The Rocket Waterproof Mascara on top and bottom lashes and that's eyes done.

Lips:
My bold lip product of choice is a recent purchase actually and it's the Revlon Colourburst Matte Balm in Showy. This is a stunning pink shade with a touch of the Sephora Colour Of The Season Radiant Orchid in it without being too, wham bam in your face. I love this and I just made sure I exfoliated my lips and put on some lip balm before I apply this product as it is matte and can dry the lips out slightly.

I hope you like this makeup look. It's so simple to get a simple yet really nice look using only drugstore products so I hope this encourages/gives ideas of what products you can get the next time you wander into Boots or Superdrug.
